This article explains how to end, reject or silence an incoming call on iPhone.
Steps
Step 1. To end the voice call currently in progress, press the "Power" button once
If you are using an iPhone 6 or later, the "Power" button is located at the top of the right side. On previous iPhone models, it is located along the top side.
If you are using Apple EarPods or a compatible headset model, press the button on the headset microphone to end the ongoing call
Step 2. Press the "Power" button twice (quickly) to reject an incoming call
If you are using an iPhone 6 or later, the "Power" button is located at the top of the right side. On previous iPhone models, it is located along the top side. This way the incoming voice call will be rejected and sent directly to the answering machine.
If you are using Apple EarPods or a compatible earphone model with a microphone, you can reject an incoming voice call by pressing and holding the button on the microphone for 2 seconds. You will hear a double beep to indicate that this call has been automatically sent to the answering machine
Step 3. Press the red Reject button to reject an incoming voice call when the device screen is locked
It has a round shape and is located at the bottom left of the screen. The incoming call will automatically be sent to the answering machine.
Step 4. Press the two volume keys once to silence the ringer
They are located along the left side of the iPhone. This will silence the device's ringer, but the call will not automatically be sent to the answering machine.
