If you use the WhatsApp application often, you know that it is possible to send and receive text messages and calls. In early 2016, a new feature was created that supports video calling and was initially only available on Android devices. However, since the end of 2016, owners of Apple and Windows Phone devices have also been able to access this service.
Steps
Step 1. Open the WhatsApp application
Step 2. Tap the Contacts button
Step 3. Select the recipient of the call by tapping their name
Step 4. Tap the phone handset icon using your finger
It should be in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Select the Video Call option
As long as the cell phone you are trying to call has access to the data network, you can have a video conversation using the front camera of the device.
Advice
- An alternative way to activate this function is to clear the application data and access it again; if so, remember to back up your conversations before proceeding with this method.
- Some Windows Phone users may have access to this feature.
