Wonder Woman is the female superhero icon, and her costume demonstrates how powerful and attractive she is. Her costume is quite skimpy, so more modest women should know that you can't cover up that much without altering Wonder Woman's image.

Method 1 of 2: Part 1: The Costume
Step 1. Get a tight red tank top
Usually, Wonder Woman's tank top is strapless, so if you want to get a costume that's more faithful to the original, get a red bustier or a red strapless tank top. The ideal would be to find one of a shiny material. For a slightly more understated variant, you can use a red swimsuit or a fitted waistcoat. These latter options have shoulder pads, which makes the costume a little less authentic, however they may be more comfortable options to wear.
Step 2. Construct a gold emblem for the tank top
Gold duct tape should be for you. You can use different shapes to create the emblem, for which you can easily find photos on the internet, and range from elaborate eagle designs to the simple "W" shape. If you want to do something simple, you can simply follow the outline of the bustier, swimsuit or tank top with gold tape. If you want to dare something more, you can create a double layer of "W" (one "W" inside the other) with wings or horizontal lines coming out from the ends of the "W".
Step 3. Get a blue mini skirt or blue shorts
The bottom of the costume is quite skimpy and usually only covers the thighs up to the middle. You can use both high-waisted men's shorts and blue sports shorts. If you want to go for a slightly more understated choice, however, you can wear a blue mini skirt, just like Wonder Woman in the old comics.
Step 4. Decorate the bottom of the costume with stars
You can use both pre-packaged stickers in the shape of a star, or cut out stars from white fabric, white tape, or white cardboard. Use fabric glue to glue the stars to the shorts or skirt, applying plenty of stars.
Step 5. Get a pair of red boots
The boots must reach at least mid-calf, even better if they reach knee height. If you can't find a pair of red boots, you can buy a pair of white boots at a thrift store and paint them using spray paint.
Step 6. Decorate the boots with masking tape
The top edge of each boot should be white. Also there should be a white line running down the center of the boot, from the top of the leg to the toe.
Method 2 of 2: Part 2: The Accessories
Step 1. Get a wide gold-colored belt
If you can't find a gold belt, you can paint a white belt with metallic gold spray paint, or you can cut out a gold cloth band and use it as a belt.
You can leave the belt as it is, or you can add a star or Wonder Woman "W" to the front. Cut out the shape of the shape you prefer from a cardboard that you have previously colored appropriately, gluing it to the center of the belt on the front, with hot glue or vinyl glue
Step 2. Get some gold bands to wear on your arms
The easiest way to mimic Wonder Woman's style is to use fairly chunky gold-colored bracelets. In the absence of the latter, you can wrap strips of metallic gold cloth, glossy wrapping paper, or painted aluminum paper around your wrist.
Step 3. Make a golden tiara
Wonder Woman wears a gold tiara with a red star in the center. The tiara is placed on the upper part of the forehead and ideally should be in the shape of a diamond in the center front. You can create a tiara by covering a hair band or a plastic fake tiara with gold fabric, wrapping paper, or aluminum.
Decorate the tiara with a red star. You can glue a sticker in the shape of a red star, or cut a star out of fabric or masking tape
Step 4. Get some laces
You can use a few meters of rope. Traditionally, Wonder Woman's lasso is yellow in color, so you can spray paint the string yellow or gold if you wish. It's fine in any case, as long as it is a light color. Knot the cord to form a loop at one end to mimic the shape of a lasso, and tie the cord around the belt.
Advice
- Complete the Wonder Woman costume by keeping her hair loose and slightly wavy. If you don't have dark hair, you can dye it black with a non-permanent color. If your hair is short or you don't want to dye it, you can purchase a wig at a party store.
- Wonder Woman doesn't wear extremely excessive makeup, but you can accentuate her lips with a glossy red lip gloss. Also, apply enough makeup to make your skin smooth and even and your eyes dark and provocative.
- If you've chosen the more understated version of the swimsuit, but still don't feel comfortable because you feel "naked", you might want to try wearing flesh-colored tights under your shorts. By doing this, you may feel more comfortable, and in any case you will not alter the costume by wearing nude or sheer stockings.
