Balancing your nutritional needs in the morning is important, as it gives you more energy, increases brain power, and you won't go hungry before lunch. Additionally, research shows that people who always eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast tend to be thinner than those who don't. They clearly don't call it "the most important meal of the day" for nothing!
Steps
Step 1. Make your cereal or oatmeal more nutritious
Cut different berries into it, halves or slices, such as blueberries and strawberries, slice a banana, or put some raisins on top. Pour in skimmed or semi-skimmed milk instead of 2% milk or milk and cocoa. Also try eating whole grains instead of those with sugar.
Step 2. Try to eat at least 1/2 cup of fresh fruit for breakfast
Papaya, mango, melon and oranges which are the most famous fruit for breakfast. Make sure you remove all the seeds and peel them before consuming them.
Step 3. Mix some vegetables in the pan with the eggs
You can create so many variations of omelettes with vegetables, with peppers, chopped white or green onions, mushrooms, and many other things. After you take the eggs out of the stove, sprinkle them or arrange slices of cheese on top for extra flavor. This is a great idea for vegans. Drink juices with added calcium, such as orange juice.
Choose 100% juices for babies from the types and brands that appeal to them.
Step 4. Limit the sweets
Anything that is sweet and sugary, looks good next to coffee, or as a "side dish" does not contribute to a healthy breakfast. Remember that most desserts contain empty calories, so instead of choosing a cinnamon bun, eat a bagel or an English muffin.
Advice
- If you're in a hurry and don't have time to sit down and have breakfast, try to keep some bars and bananas for a healthy breakfast! Never eat cereal bars as they are 55% sugar.
- Try to reduce the syrup you put on pancakes, French toast, and waffles. The syrup contains more than 65% sugar and very few nutritional requirements. Even better, use pure maple syrup. Pancake syrup is really just corn syrup. The flavor of the maple syrup you might like a lot more!
- If you always feel like you're in a rush in the morning, try waking up a little earlier to have something like yogurt instead of going to a coffee shop for breakfast. Coffee and other products that contain caffeine may fill you up until your lunch break but not in a nutritional sense.
