Shiny Pokemon are incredibly rare and can take hours to find. In Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, however, there is a Shiny Pokemon that you can find, as long as you are able to bring the game to an end! The Pokemon is Haxorus, and you can get it by completing the entire Unova Pokedex. Start with Step 1 to learn how to catch one yourself.
Steps
Step 1. Defeat the Elite Four
Before you can find the Shiny Haxorus, you'll need to collect all the Unova medals and defeat the Elite Four. You can reach the Pokemon League and the Elite Four in the northernmost part of Via Vittoria.
Step 2. Complete the Unova Pokedex
The other requirement for obtaining Shiny Haxorus is completing Unova's Pokedex. This means that you will need to see all the Pokemon in the list. You won't have to catch them all, but you will need to have seen all 297 Pokemon in the Pokedex.
The only exceptions are the four Legendary Event Pokemon (Dialga, Deoxys, Meloetta, and Keldeo) - you won't have to see them to unlock Haxorus
Step 3. Visit Professor Aralia
After completing the Unova Pokedex, Professor Aralia will give you a Permit, which will allow you to travel to the Nature Reserve.
You can find the Professor in her laboratory in Soffiolieve, the city where you started the game
Step 4. Prepare your team
Before you go in search of Haxorus, you'll need to make sure you have a team that can capture him. Make sure you have a Pokemon with the False Finisher move; this will allow you to safely lower Haxorus's health without defeating him, to catch him more easily. Also make sure you have plenty of high-level Poké balls.
- Having Pokemon with Hypnosis, Sleep Dust, or Paralysis will make it much easier to catch Haxorus.
- Haxorus is level 60. At this point in the game, you should have a team that can handle him without any problems, but your concern must be not to defeat him before capturing him.
Step 5. Travel to Ponentopoli
You can use Flight to get directly to the city, or you can switch to Route 7. The city has a large airport.
Enter the main terminal and talk to the person behind the counter. Once you have submitted the Permit, you will automatically fly to the Nature Reserve
Step 6. Find Haxorus
You can find it in the center of the Reserve. Once you have landed you will find yourself on the left edge of the Reserve. Walk to the bottom of the screen, past the airplane. Walk right, and then go through the opening in the trees. After a few steps, you will see Haxorus in the center of a clearing.
Step 7. Save your game
Haxorus will only appear once, and only in this area. You should save to be able to load in case of a missed capture.
Step 8. The fight begins
Walk over to Haxorus and press the A Button. The fight will begin and you will see sparkles indicating that Haxorus is a Shiny Pokemon.
- Hit Haxorus with some powerful hits to reduce his health. Be careful not to KO him!
- Once Haxorus's health is in the red zone, hit it with False Ending until it is reduced to 1. False Ending can't defeat Haxorus, so you can use it without fear.
- Put Haxorus to sleep or paralyze. This will make it much easier to catch.
Step 9. Start throwing Pokeball
When Haxorus has 1 HP and is asleep or paralyzed, start throwing your best balls, such as Ultra balls.
Warnings
- Warning: Once you have defeated Haxorus, you will no longer be able to capture him. If you saved just before the fight, reset the game by pressing L + R-Select + Start.
- Remember that Haxorus is only level 60, so try not to defeat him.
