You would like to enjoy watching a nice DVD, but you don't have a DVD player at home. However, if you own a Play Station 2, your every problem is solved. This tutorial shows you the simple steps required to play a DVD using your beloved console!
Steps
Step 1. Connect your PS2 to the television
If everything is already fully functional, you can go directly to step number 3.

To proceed with the connection, connect the red terminal of the connection cable to the respective jack on the television. Repeat this step with all the remaining connectors, always respecting the color combination.

Step 2. Choose the DVD you want to view
Step 3. Turn on the PS2
The main switch should be easily identified on the back of the console. Now press the green reset button.
Step 4. A menu will appear on the screen
Select the 'Browser' item.
Step 5. Press the blue 'Eject' button to open the optical reader carriage
Step 6. Insert the DVD disc
Step 7. Wait for the disc to be read
Step 8. When the upload is complete, select the disk
Step 9. The main menu of the chosen DVD should appear on the screen
Select the 'Play' option and enjoy watching!
Advice
- Try to recreate the atmosphere of a small cinema by arranging comfortable cushions on the floor, you can use them instead of chairs after turning down the lights in the room.
- Choose an interesting DVD. Whenever possible, we should only view content that we like.
- If you have shot a movie and saved it in DVD format you can watch it using your PS2.
Warnings
- You will need to use the console controller as if it were a remote control. So make sure you know what to do and how to do it.
- Be very careful when turning on the console! Do not cover the fan located near the ignition switch. Poor console ventilation may block image playback.
