This article shows you how to block incoming calls from anonymous numbers using an iPhone or Android device. You can do this by using the "Do Not Disturb" feature on iPhone or by changing call settings on Android if you have a Samsung device. If you have a third-party Android device, you can download the "Should I answer?" to be able to block anonymous calls. Unfortunately, there is no iPhone application or configuration setting that allows you to block incoming voice calls from a private, hidden or unknown number.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using an iPhone
Step 1. Launch the iPhone Settings app by tapping the icon
It features two gray gears. It is normally placed inside the Home of the device.
Step 2. Scroll down the appeared menu and select the "Do Not Disturb" option
It is located at the top of the "Settings" screen.
Step 3. Tap the white "Do Not Disturb" slider
It will turn green
Step 4. Select the Allow Calls From item
It is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5. Choose the All Contacts option
In this way you will be able to receive voice calls only from contacts in the device's address book. All calls from numbers that are not entered in the Contacts app will be automatically blocked.
- This iPhone configuration allows you to block all incoming calls from any number that is not registered in the Contacts app. This means that legitimate business and private calls may also be blocked.
- The "Do Not Disturb" feature also blocks notifications from apps installed on the device (for example, those of received SMS, e-mails and social networks).
Method 2 of 3: Using a Samsung Galaxy
Step 1. Make sure you have a Samsung smartphone
This type of Android devices are the only models that allow you to block anonymous calls directly from the configuration settings.

Step 2. Launch the Phone app
Touch the icon characterized by a telephone handset placed on the Home of the device.
Step 3. Press the ⋮ button
