In the houses of avid fishermen it is not uncommon to see plastic statuettes applied on wooden bases depicting various fish with open mouths, including sea bass. However, this animal is also very beautiful to draw and you can have fun during the work. Learn how to do this by following the instructions in this article.
Steps
Step 1. Sketch some basic shapes of the design
Start by drawing two ovals, one much larger than the other as shown in the figure, and then add guidelines for the details.
Step 2. Draw a half oval for the fish's open mouth
Then add a circle for the eyes and roughly define the shape of the gills; if you wish, trace the scales to make the drawing more realistic.
Step 3. Make a draft for the ventral, lateral and dorsal fins
They should be small compared to the rest of the body, but you don't have to worry too much for now - add as much detail as possible and check that the shapes are correct.
Step 4. Draw a curved triangle for the caudal fin
It should connect to the smaller oval you outlined in the first step; in the next step you have to go over the outline of this element to better define the tail.
Step 5. Review the outlines and add more details to the fish
Join the various basic shapes with continuous and homogeneous lines from the lower part of the body to the caudal fin; you can choose to draw other scales as you like and finally color the animal with dark tones, such as chartreuse.
