Sometimes the closest public toilet on the beach is too far away to reach it in time; this limits the choice of where to pee. Beaches are public places, often very crowded, but luckily there is a way to do your business discreetly without anyone suspecting. This article will show you how to proceed.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Finding a Suitable Place
Step 1. Make sure there are no people near you
If there are any swimmers nearby, move away. Even if they could not understand what you are doing, they would perceive a sudden rise in the temperature of the water which would make them suspicious. Move left or right, but don't go out to sea.
Don't go so far away that you can't see or hear other people. You need to stay at a safe distance, just in case
Step 2. Stay away from algae bushes or other aquatic plants
Many fish and other marine animals live in these areas. Some may be a danger, while for others the danger may be you.
Step 3. Check for other marine animals
The further you get away from people, the more likely you are to run into some ocean creature. Stay clear of marine life including fish, sharks and jellyfish. You could hurt each other.
Step 4. Stay away from the reef
While peeing in the sea can help marine plants, it is harmful to corals. The presence of urine in the water stimulates the growth of aquatic plants, including algae. This means that you contribute to the uncontrolled development of algae right on the corals, which will no longer have the sunlight, which is essential for them. As a result, the reef will suffocate.
Step 5. Stay away from the piers and docks
Try to stay at least 30m from these structures, as they are often surrounded by very dangerous surf currents.
The backwash currents are typical of the ocean and are very strong. Their flow heads out to sea and the last thing you want is to be swallowed by one of them
Part 2 of 3: Urinating in Calm Water
Step 1. Enter the sea until the water reaches waist height
In this way, the private parts remain hidden.
Step 2. Look towards the horizon, towards the waves that are about to arrive
Never turn your back on the ocean; even if the water seems calm and the waves are small, it is always possible that a more powerful wave will suddenly arrive.
These sudden phenomena are defined as rogue waves which can be very dangerous when they take you by surprise
Step 3. Never take off your swimsuit
This way you will not expose your private parts to the public and do not worry, because it will rinse off thanks to sea water.
Step 4. Spread your legs
This way the urine will flow more easily. Pretend to enjoy the view to prevent people from suspecting what you are about to do.
Step 5. Learn to rinse off when done
In fact, residues may remain on the costume. If you are wearing swim shorts, simply grab the hem of one leg and shake it slightly. If you have a bikini or one-piece swimsuit, take the edge of the gusset between your thighs and spread it out for a moment before returning it to its original position.
Remember to wash your swimsuit with warm soapy water when you get home to prevent it from stinking
Part 3 of 3: Urinating in Agitated or Turbulent Water
Step 1. Do not enter the water above knee level
You have to sit in the sea without the water going beyond your chest. Remember to look out to sea and the incoming waves.
Step 2. Turn your face towards the horizon and the approaching waves
Even if you are in shallow water (no further than the knee), you should always monitor the waves, because even the smallest ones can swell into a rogue wave.
Step 3. Keep the costume
Even if your private parts are hidden by the water, it's always best not to take off your swimsuit.
Step 4. Consider sitting in the water
Keep your thighs out of contact, lean back slightly and support your body weight with your palms. Pretend to enjoy the bath and always look out to sea.
Step 5. Try to squat down
If you don't like the feeling of sand on your skin, you can try crouching or squatting. In this case you will need to get into the water a little more. Don't go too far, though, the water doesn't have to go over your chest. Move as if you are resting, otherwise people may suspect something.
Step 6. Wait a few moments before lifting yourself up again
When you are done, hold the squatting or squatting position for a while. If you get up too early, it will be clear what you just did.
Step 7. Learn how to rinse yourself, if you have sat down
You will need to change your position and squat, kneel or curl up. If you don't, you'll have some sand left in your costume. Check that the body, from the waist down, is completely immersed. If you are wearing swim shorts grab the end of one leg, shake it quickly, and then let go. If you're wearing a bikini or one-piece swimsuit, grab the fabric at the crotch, pull it gently for a couple of seconds, and then let it slide back into place.
Wash your swimsuit in warm, soapy water when you get home to keep it from stinking
Step 8. Learn how to rinse yourself if you are squatting
Even though you are in the water, some residue can remain on the swimsuit and in the genital area. If you're wearing swim shorts, grab the bottom hem of one leg and shake it for a few seconds. If you're wearing a bikini or one-piece swimsuit, grab a corner of the fabric near the gusset, pull it for a moment, and then let go.
Once you get home, remember to wash your swimsuit with warm soapy water to prevent it from stinking
Advice
If you move naturally as if you are not urinating, then it is very likely that other people will not notice. Try to act as if you are enjoying the scenery or the bathroom
Warnings
- Always check small children.
- Always be aware of your surroundings. Watch out for big waves, strong currents, marine animals, including sharks and jellyfish.
- Don't follow these methods when you are in the pool. Chlorine does not eliminate urine, on the contrary it reacts with it forming dangerous chemical compounds.
- Do not defecate in the sea, you will spread dangerous bacteria and diseases.
