If you have experienced the Induction phase, but are unable to lose weight while following the program correctly, perhaps your metabolic resistance is so high that it requires extreme measures. Fat Fast forces the body to burn fat through lipolysis and will help boost the Induction process.
Steps
Step 1. Start by consuming 1000 calories per day
Unlike the classic Atkins diet, you will need to count calories during the Fat Fast phase. Dr. Atkins recommends 5 meals of 200 calories each for better hunger management. Examples of meals include:
- 30 g of macadamia nuts or macadamia nut butter
- 60g cream cheese or Brie
- 30g tuna or chicken salad served in a quarter of an avocado with 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
- 2 hard-boiled eggs stuffed with 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise for each egg
- 60 g of sour cream with 2 tablespoons of red or black caviar
- 45 g of whipped cream sweetened with sucralose
- 60 g of pate
- 2 hard-boiled egg yolks with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
Step 2. Follow the 1000 calorie regimen for 4 or 5 days
After this initial period, you should experience weight loss, reduced appetite, and an increased sense of well-being.
Step 3. Increase your daily calorie intake to 1200
Eat 4 meals of 300 calories each. Meal examples include:
- 60 g of beef shoulder cooked with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 2 scrambled eggs with 2 slices of bacon
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream with 1 tablespoon of sugar-free syrup
- 45 g of chicken or tuna salad dressed with 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
- 90 g of pate
- 45 g of macadamia nuts
Step 4. Protect the 1200 calorie program for 1 week
Step 5. Begin the induction phase at the end of the 1200 calorie week
On a daily basis, you will consume 20 grams or less of carbohydrates, and you will no longer have to count calories.
