Steps
Method 1 of 4: Simple Potato Peels
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 175ºC
Step 2. Cut 1 kg of potatoes in half vertically
Step 3. Pierce them with a fork several times:
they will cook better in the microwave.
Step 4. Wrap them in wet paper towels and place them in the microwave on the highest temperature
It will take about 5 minutes per potato and 10 for 3 potatoes. When you can easily insert the fork into them, then they will be ready.
Step 5. Remove them from the microwave, remove the wet paper towel and wait for them to cool
Step 6. Use a solid spoon to remove the inside of the potato, leaving only the skin and a thin layer of pulp
Don't exert too much force, or you will tear the peel, and it will be harder for it to contain the ingredients you add.
Step 7. Prepare the filling
Combine 500g of sliced Cheddar, a bunch of chopped spring onions, 4 tablespoons of crumbled bacon and the inside of the potato in a bowl. Mix the ingredients well.
Step 8. Season with salt and pepper
Step 9. Cook the potato skins in the oven for 5 minutes, so they will become slightly crunchy
Step 10. Insert the mix into the skins using a spoon and bake for at least 20 minutes
Check to prevent Cheddar from burning.
Step 11. Take them out of the oven, let them cool for at least 5 minutes and serve them with a cup of sour cream on the side or by pouring a little sour cream over each potato
Accompany them with a mug of beer.
Method 2 of 4: Nacho Potato Skins
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC
Step 2. Wash the potatoes, brush them with non-stick non-stick spray and lay them on the baking sheet
Bake them for 45-60 minutes. They will be ready when you can easily insert a fork inside them.
Step 3. Remove them from the oven and wait for them to cool for at least 10 minutes
Step 4. Cut each potato vertically
Step 5. Scoop the inside off with a spoon, so that only 10-20% sticks to the peel
Repeat this process for each half.
Step 6. Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter in the microwave for 30-60 seconds
Cover the container before placing it in the oven.
Step 7. Set the oven to "Grill" mode
Step 8. Brush the butter on the skins, which will make them more crunchy and won't burn them
Step 9. Season the inside of each peel with salt and pepper
Step 10. Bake them for 8-10 minutes
Step 11. Remove them from the oven
Step 12. Place 100g of ground beef and 250g of sliced Cheddar into the skins
Do it evenly with the help of a spoon.
Step 13. Cook for another 3-5 minutes
The cheese will have to melt.
Step 14. Take them out of the oven again
Step 15. Fill them with 100g of sliced lettuce, 1 sliced tomato, 100g of sliced black olives and 1 peeled and diced avocado
Step 16. Crumble 100g of tortilla chips onto the filling
Step 17. Pour 250 g heated cheese sauce over the filling
Step 18. Return them to the oven and let them cook for another 3-5 minutes, until the heated cheese has melted
Step 19. Remove them from the oven
Salt it.
Step 20. Serve them with sour cream and accompany them with a mug of beer
Method 3 of 4: Potato Skins with Tuna
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC
Step 2. Wash the potatoes, brush them with fat-free non-stick cooking spray and lay them on a baking sheet
Bake them for 45-60 minutes. You'll know if they're ready when you can easily skewer them with a fork.
Step 3. Take them out of the oven and let them cool for at least 10 minutes
Step 4. Cut them vertically in half
Step 5. Set the oven to “Grill” mode
Step 6. Remove the inside of the potatoes
Leave only 10-20% attached to the peel to make it more consistent.
Step 7. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in the microwave for 30-45 seconds
Cover the container to keep it from splashing.
Step 8. Brush the inside and outside of the skins with melted butter so they are crispier and won't burn
Step 9. Season them with salt and pepper
Step 10. Place them on the parchment paper
They must be arranged separately from each other.
Step 11. Inform them for 3-5 minutes
Check them so they don't burn. After half the time, turn them so both sides are crunchy.
Step 12. Remove them from the oven
Step 13. Evenly insert 250 g of tuna salad into the skins with a spoon
Step 14. Put 250 g of sliced provolone on the tuna salad
Step 15. Cook the skins in the oven for 4-5 minutes, until the tuna has heated up and the provolone is melted (bubbles should form but it should not burn)
Step 16. Let them cool for 2-3 minutes and serve them as a snack or main course
Method 4 of 4: Low Fat Potato Skins
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC
Step 2. Wash the potatoes, brush with fat-free non-stick spray and lay them on a baking sheet

Step 3. Take them out of the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes
Step 4. Cut them vertically into 4 parts
Step 5. Remove the inside with a large spoon, leaving only 10-20% attached to the peel
Step 6. Prepare the filling
Mix 1 teaspoon of chili powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and ½ teaspoon of Tabasco in a small bowl. It runs well.
Step 7. Fill the skins with the filling
Use a spoon to do this.
Step 8. Place the peels on the parchment paper
Separate them from each other.
Step 9. Place 4 slices of crumbled extra lean turkey bacon and 200g of low fat Cheddar on the filling
Step 10. Bake them again
Check them to prevent them from burning. It should take 15 minutes to be ready.
