The "Rock Smash" move is one of the many special moves that can be acquired by playing all versions of Pokémon video games. This special move allows you to break rocks that block access to certain areas of the game map or that contain special objects inside them. It can also be used in battle when you have to face other Pokémon. When used in combat, the "Rock Smash" move allows you to decrease the opponent's stat values relating to defense against attacks. To find the hidden "Rock Smash" machine in Pokémon Ruby, you will need to visit the city of "Cyclamen City".

Method 1 of 3: Acquire the Rock Smash Move
Step 1. Visit the city of "Ciclamipoli"
Reach the city via "Route 110". The city of "Cyclamipolis" is made up of several levels and includes a bike shop, a gym, a casino and much more.
Step 2. Find the gray house located to the right of the "Pokémon Market"
Proceed north after leaving "Route 110" to reach the city center. The "Pokémon Market" is located to the right of the center. Go through the "Pokémon Market" and enter the gray house.
Along the way, you will also be able to pick up an "X Speed" tool. Check behind the bicycle stand located in the southern part of the city
Step 3. Enter the gray house and talk to the man sitting at the table inside
This is a scientist who will give you the HM "Rock Smash".
Method 2 of 3: Using the Rock Smash Move in the Game
Step 1. Visit the "Ciclamipoli" gymnasium and fight with Lino
You will meet him at the entrance to the gym and, in order to enter the building, you will have to defeat him. Fortunately, Lino has a team of very weak Pokémon whose strongest specimen only reaches level 16.
When you beat him, Lino will run away, leaving free access to the gym
Step 2. Fight with Walter the gym leader

After winning the fight, Walter will reward you by giving you the "Dynamo Medal" and the TM34 "Ondashock". The medal will allow you to use the "Rock Smash" move even outside of combat, so you can break rocks that block access to hidden sections of the map or that hide new items inside them.
Method 3 of 3: Acquire the Rock Smash Move in Omega Ruby
Step 1. Go to the "Ciclamipoli" gym
The building is located in the upper left of the city, near "Route 111". Lino and his uncle will be waiting for you in front of the gym.
Step 2. Fight against Lino
You will have to face the young coach Lino in a short and easy match in which he will have an example of Ralts as an opponent.
Step 3. Get the "Rock Smash" move
After defeating him, Lino will decide to return to the city of "Mentania". His uncle, on the other hand, will reward you by giving you the move HM06 "Rock Smash" for having had a positive influence on his nephew.
