Steps
Step 1. You can combine basic items in different ways to make many fun items in Minecraft
You will need to have all the items listed to create an item.
Step 2. Remember the following when reading the guide:
- ON = Items required
- The amount of items needed to create an item will be in parentheses.
- After you have read the instructions, the number at the end of them represents the amount of items you will create.
- The rows are from right to left, and the columns from top to bottom.
Method 1 of 3: The Basic Recipes
Step 1. Find the components you need, and then follow the instructions to create the various basic items

Wooden boards. ON = any wood block (1). Place a block of wood anywhere on the Crafting Table to create a plank of wood. (4)
- Stick. ON = Wooden planks (2). Place a plank of wood in the bottom row of the crafting table. Then, place another plank of wood directly on top of it. (4) [

Torch. ON = Coal (1), Staff (1). Place a stick in the bottom row. Then, place some charcoal directly on top of it. (4)
- Creation table. ON = Wooden planks (4). Press E and fill the crafting grid with wooden planks. (1)

Furnace. ON = Stone (8). Place a stone block in each square of the crafting table except the middle square. (1)

Chest. ON = Wooden planks (8). Place wooden planks in all squares on the crafting table except the middle square. (1)
Method 2 of 3: Block Recipes
Craft Items in Minecraft Step 4 Step 1. Find the required components, and follow the instructions to create the various blocks

Iron block. ON = Iron ingots (9). Fill all the squares on the crafting table with iron ingots. (1)

Glowstone blocks. ON = Glowstone Dust (4). Place 2 nearby glowstone powders on the lowest row of the crafting table. Place two more glowstone powders on top of them. You need to make a 2x2 square of glowstone dust. (1)
- Wool. ON = Rope (4). Make a 2x2 square on the crafting table. (1)

TNT. ON = Sand (4), gunpowder (5). Make an X with gunpowder on the crafting table. Fill the remaining spaces with sand. (1)
- Stone slabs. ON = Stone (3). Place three stones along the lowest row of the crafting table. (3)

Wood slab. ON = Wooden planks (3). Place 3 wooden planks along the lowest row of the crafting table. (3)
- Slab of crushed stone. ON = Rubble (3). Place 3 crushed stone blocks along the lowest row of the crafting table. (3)

Sand slab. ON = Sand (3). Place three sand blocks along the lowest row of the crafting table. (3)
- Wooden stairs. ON = Wooden planks (6). Place 3 wooden planks in the left column of the crafting table. Then, place two wooden planks to the left of the bottom column. Then place a plank of wood in the lower left corner of the crafting table. (4)

Gravel stairs. ON = Blocks of crushed stone (6). Place 3 crushed stone blocks in the left column of the crafting table. Then, place two crushed stone blocks to the left of the bottom column. Then place a block of crushed stone in the lower left corner of the crafting table. (4)
- Snow block. ON = Snowballs (4). Place the snowballs to form a 2x2 square. (1)

- Clay block. ON = Clay (4). Place some clay to form a 2x2 square. (1)

Bookshelf. ON = Wooden planks (6), books (3). Place the three books in the middle row of the crafting table. Fill the top and bottom rows with wooden planks. (1)
- Sand block. ON = Sand (4). Square sand in a 2x2 square. (1)
- Jack-O-Lantern. ON = Torch (1), Pumpkin (1). Place a pumpkin in the center of the crafting table. Place a flashlight directly below it. (1)
Method 3 of 3: Tools
Step 1. Find the required components, and follow the instructions to create the various tools
- Wooden pickaxe. ON = Wooden planks (3), sticks (2). Place a stick in the center of the crafting table. Place another stick directly below. Fill the top row with wooden planks. (1)
- Stone pickaxe. Replace the crushed stone for the wooden planks. (1)
- Iron pickaxe. Replace iron ingots for wooden planks. (1)
- Golden pickaxe. Replace gold bars for wooden planks. (1)
- Diamond picks. Replace the wooden planks with diamonds. - (1)
- Wooden ax. ON = Wooden planks (3), sticks (2). Place a stick in the center of the crafting table. Place another stick directly below it. Then, place a plank of wood in the upper left corner. Place wooden planks directly below and to the right of the wooden plank you just placed. (1)
- Stone ax. Replace the crushed stone for the wooden planks. (1)
- Iron ax. Replace iron ingots for wooden planks. (1)
- Golden ax. Replace gold bars for wooden planks. (1)
- Diamond ax. Replace the wooden planks with diamonds. (1)
- Wooden spade. ON = Sticks (2), wooden plank (1). Place one stick in the center and another under it. Then, place a plank of wood in the center square of the top row of the crafting table. (1)
- Stone spade. Replace the crushed stone for the wooden planks. (1)
- Iron spade. Substitute an iron ingot for the wooden planks. (1)
- Golden spade. Substitute a gold bar for wooden planks. (1)
- Diamond spade. Substitute the diamond for the wooden planks. (1)
- Wooden hoe. ON = Sticks (2), wooden planks (2). Place a stick in the center, and another under it. Place a plank of wood in the upper left corner of the crafting table. Place another plank of wood in the middle tall square. (1)
- Stone hoe. Replace the crushed stone for the wooden planks. (1)
- Iron hoe. Substitute iron ingots for wooden planks. (1)
- Golden hoe. Substitute gold bars for wooden planks. (1)
- Diamond hoe. Substitute the diamond for the wooden planks. (1)
- Flintlock and flint. ON = Flint (1), iron ingot (1). Place a flint in the lower central square. Then, place an iron ingot to the left of the central square. (1)
- Bucket ON = Iron Ingots (3). Place an iron ingot left, right, and bottom on the crafting table. (1)
- Compass. ON = Redstone Dust (1), Iron Ingots (4). Place an iron ingot left, right, top, and bottom on the crafting table. Put the redstone dust in the center square. (1)
- Map. ON = Map (8), compass (1). Place a compass in the center of the crafting table. Fill the other squares with paper. (1)
- Clock. ON = Gold Bars (4)
