There are several methods at your disposal to send messages on Facebook to any user or friend who has an account. This social network takes advantage of an informal approach by showing correspondence to recipients as a long continuous discussion and not as a series of single messages. To send them, you need to enter your account credentials on the web page and then access the recipient's profile or type their name or email address in the message window. Steps
Method 1 of 3: Log into Facebook
Step 1. Click on any Facebook link proposed in the "Sources and Citations" section of this article
Step 2. Move the cursor to the top left corner of the web page and select the Facebook logo
Step 3. Type your e-mail address and your account password in the appropriate fields
Step 4. Click on "Login" to view your page
Method 2 of 3: From the Friend Profile
Step 1. Click on the link with your name located in the upper right corner
Step 2. Select the "Friends" link located on the left side of your profile page
Step 3. Select the name of the friend or user you want to contact with a message
Step 4. Click on the "Message" button, which you can see in the upper right corner of the friend's profile page
Step 5. Type your message in the appropriate field and press "Enter" when finished
The recipient will be notified of your message.
Method 3 of 3: With the Icon
Step 1. Click on the message icon, located in the upper right corner of your Facebook page
It looks like a cartoon.
Step 2. In the window that appears, click on "New Message"
Step 3. Type the recipient's name or email address followed by the message text in the field provided
Step 4. Press "Enter" to send the messages to the friend
Advice
- Even if you are using the old Facebook wall interface, the procedures for sending a message are no different, as are the positions of the icons and tools.
- Facebook allows you to simultaneously send messages to up to 20 users at a time. When typing the recipients name or email address, remember to separate them with a comma.
- You can attach files, images or videos to any message by clicking on the paperclip or camera icon in the window when you type the text.
