This article shows you how to authorize a previously blocked user to contact you again using Facebook Messenger. Read on to find out how.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: iPhone and iPad
Step 1. Launch the Facebook Messenger application
It features a blue cartoon icon with a small lightning bolt inside.
Step 2. Select your user profile icon
It features a stylized blue human silhouette located in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Choose the People option
It is placed inside the section Notifications.
Step 4. Tap Blocked
It is located at the bottom of the page.
Step 5. Select the name of the person you want to unblock
Step 6. Disable the "Block messages" slider by moving it to the left
In this way it will take on a white color. Now you can contact the person again (and vice versa).
Method 2 of 3: Android devices
Step 1. Launch the Facebook Messenger application
It is characterized by a blue icon in the shape of a speech bubble, inside which there is a small lightning bolt.
Step 2. Select your user profile icon
It features a stylized human silhouette in gray, located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Scroll down the list of options that appeared to locate and select the People item
It is placed after the option SMS.
Step 4. Choose the item Blocked people
It should be the last option available.
Step 5. Press the Unblock button next to the name of the person you want to unlock
Step 6. Now select the Unblock on Messenger option
It is the first menu item that appeared. At this point the selected user will again be able to contact you via the Facebook Messenger.
Method 3 of 3: Desktop Systems
Step 1. Log in to the Facebook website using the internet browser of your choice and the URL www.facebook.com
If necessary, log in to your account using the relevant credentials
Step 2. Click the ↓ icon
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Choose the Settings option
It is located at the bottom of the drop-down menu that appeared.
Step 4. Select the Block item
It is one of the options on the left side of the page that appeared. It should be placed in the second section of options.
Step 5. Scroll down the list to locate and select "Message Blocking"
The names displayed in this section represent the blocked people, who therefore cannot contact you via the Facebook Messenger.
Step 6. Click the Unblock link next to the desired person's name
Make sure you select the link to the right of the name entered in the section Block messages from. At this point the selected person will again be able to contact you using the Facebook Messenger.
