A good daily routine helps you organize yourself more easily, with the advantage of being able to reduce stress and save time. Adopting good habits allows you to make the most of your day.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Adopt a Morning Routine
Step 1. Get up at the same time every day
It is important to get up at the same time to go to school every day so that the body gets used to waking up at a certain time. Even on weekends, try not to stay in bed for more than half an hour compared to the time you usually wake up during the week. If you have trouble getting up on your own, set the alarm or ask your parents to wake you up in the morning.
If you can't wake up even with the alarm, put it in another room or somewhere away from the bed. This way you will have to get out of bed to turn it off
Step 2. Take a shower and get dressed for the day
If you prefer to shower in the evening, all you have to do in the morning is wash your face to wake up. Don't forget to brush your teeth and floss.
- If you like to wear makeup, use more neutral colors, such as peach, brown, and beige, on normal school days.
- As for shoes, think about the day's commitments. If you have to go to train after school, bring sports socks and shoes. If you have to do an activity that will require you to stand up, don't put on heels.
Step 3. Have a healthy breakfast with all natural ingredients
What you eat for breakfast will affect your performance for the rest of the day. Get good carbohydrates, fiber and protein.
- Here are some healthy options: oatmeal, smoothie, yogurt, or eggs.
- Even if you don't have much time, eat something on the go, like a banana or an apple.
Part 2 of 3: Organizing the School Routine and Weekend Agenda
Step 1. Keep a diary or diary
Using a diary or diary helps keep track of lessons, homework, and extra-curricular activities. At the beginning of the year or term, be sure to write down the new lesson times in your diary, or print them and paste the sheet into your journal. Putting the routine in writing helps keep track of all the daily tasks.
Step 2. Prioritize your schedule
If you have several lessons, keep up with each individual schedule. If you know that on a certain date you have an important test or exam, it is preferable to give priority to this test when studying. Prioritize the less demanding tasks in other subjects.
Breaking bigger tasks into small milestones and reaching them one at a time helps you manage your workload better
Step 3. Take advantage of the weekend to switch off and relax
Use the weekend to organize and prepare for the next week. Make time on Sundays to make sure you're ready for Monday.
Part 3 of 3: Setting Up an Evening Routine
Step 1. Take care of the housework
Dedicating some time to the house every night (like tidying up the bedroom) helps reduce the amount of work over the weekend. This way you won't have to spend hours and hours on house cleaning on Saturdays or Sundays. Cleaning also allows you to keep clutter under control. A cluttered room may distract you as you try to do your homework or relax.
Step 2. Make time to do your homework every day
Make sure you have enough time in the afternoon or evening to finish your homework so you don't have to rush through it to get it done. The amount of time you have to set aside for homework depends on your day-to-day workload.
Step 3. Get some physical activity
Exercising is important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It also has a positive effect on mental health. By releasing endorphins, it improves self-esteem and mood. You can train in the morning or after school. Organize yourself according to your schedule to be able to reconcile everything.
Physical activity can also increase your energy level, so try to finish your workout at least three hours before your bedtime. This will give you enough time to relax before going to sleep
Step 4. Make time for yourself
Exercising is a great way to carve out some time, but if you've had a PE class at school or training with your team during the day, look for another way to unwind. You could be reading a book, writing in your journal, or spending time with friends and family.
Step 5. Decide what to wear the night before
For a normal school day you can wear a skirt or a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Choose clothes that you find comfortable and that you can embellish with bijoux and accessories. Look at the weather forecast and prepare your outfit accordingly. If it gets cold, be sure to pack warm clothing, such as a coat or scarf.
Step 6. Prepare the backpack for the next day
Put in the books and notebooks you will need at school. If you also have extra-curricular activities, be sure to prepare everything you need to bring with you the next morning.
- If you play in a band, put your instrument in the case and place it next to the backpack. If you have to go to a workout, be sure to also prepare all the equipment you will need. All of this will help you save time in the morning.
- Take a look at your diary or diary to find out what you will need to bring with you (for example, a sweater, an umbrella, an essay you wrote, or a permission from your parents).
Step 7. Sleep for at least 8-10 hours a night
Adequate rest is good for your health and can make you feel better.
Don't drink caffeinated drinks and try to sleep in the dark. Reduce exposure to blue light emitted from screens, such as cell phone or computer
