This article explains how to take a screenshot of a book found on Google Books and automatically transcribe the text into a document on Google Docs using a desktop browser.
Steps
Step 1. Open the book you want to copy
Click on a book link to open it in your browser, or use the search function on books.google.com to find one.
Step 2. Take a screenshot of the part you want to copy
Make sure the screenshot includes all the text you want to copy and save it to your computer.

Step 3. Open Google Drive in a browser
Type drive.google.com in the address bar and press Enter on your keyboard.
Click on the button Go to Google Drive to access your account if login is not automatic.
Step 4. Click on the + New button
It is located at the top left and allows you to upload a new file or a new folder online.

Step 5. Click File Upload in the menu
This option opens a new pop-up window and selects a file to upload from your computer.
Step 6. Upload the screenshot of the book
Select the screenshot image in the file explorer window and click the button You open in order to upload it to Drive.
Step 7. Once uploaded, right click on the book screenshot
Various options will appear in a drop-down menu.
Step 8. Hover your mouse cursor over the Open With button within the drop-down menu
A submenu will appear offering a list of available applications.
Step 9. Select Google Docs in the submenu
The screenshot will then open in a new document.
Google Docs will automatically recognize all text in the screenshot and copy it to the bottom of the document as editable text
Step 10. Select the text you want to copy at the bottom of the document
Find the text of the copied book at the bottom of the document, then click on the excerpt you want to copy and drag the cursor.
The selected text will be highlighted in blue
Step 11. Click on the selected text with the right mouse button
Various options will appear in a drop-down menu.
Step 12. Select Copy on the menu
The selected text will then be copied to the clipboard.

Step 13. Click where you want to paste it with the right mouse button
A list of options will appear.
Step 14. Select Paste on the menu
Text copied from the book will be pasted into this section.
