This article will teach you how to copy and paste conversation snippets on WhatsApp.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using an iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Open WhatsApp, represented by a green dialogue bubble containing a white phone
Step 2. Tap a conversation to open it on the full screen
Step 3. Touch and hold a row to select it
A pop-up menu will open with several options, including "Reply" and "Forward".
Step 4. Tap the right arrow within the pop-up menu to see more options
Step 5. Tap Copy to copy the row you selected to the clipboard
Step 6. Touch and hold the text box, where you write messages before sending them
This field is located at the bottom of the screen. A pop-up window will open allowing you to paste the line.
Step 7. Tap Paste to paste the copied line into the text field
Step 8. Tap the "Send" button, which looks like a small paper airplane and is located to the right of the message
Tapping it will allow you to send the copied line to the recipient of your choice.
Method 2 of 2: Using Android
Step 1. Open WhatsApp, represented by a green dialogue bubble containing a white phone
Step 2. Tap a conversation to open it on the full screen
Step 3. Touch and hold a row to select it
Step 4. Tap the "Copy" button in the toolbar, located at the top of the screen
It looks like a vertical rectangle with another rectangle behind it. You can find it at the top right. This is the second button on the toolbar from the right, next to "Submit". Tapping it will allow you to copy the selected row to the clipboard.
Step 5. Tap and hold the message text field
A pop-up window will appear for you to paste the line.
Step 6. Tap Paste to paste the copied line into the text field
If you copy more than one line at a time, when you tap the "Paste" button, the timestamp of each conversation excerpt will also be pasted. In this case you can manually remove it in the text field
Step 7. Tap the "Send" button, which looks like a small paper airplane and is located to the right of the message
This will send the copied line to the recipient of your choice.
