Method 1 of 2: Send a-g.webp" />

Step 1. Open WhatsApp

The icon looks like a green speech bubble containing a white handset.

Step 2. Tap a conversation

• If another conversation opens, tap the arrow in the top left to return to the "Chat" page.
• If another page opens, tap the "Chat" button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The icon depicts two speech bubbles.

Step 3. Tap the + button

It is located at the bottom left of the screen, next to the text field.

Step 4. Tap Photo & Video Library to open the camera roll

Step 5. Tap a-g.webp" />

You will be able to inspect it before sending it.

If you don't have GIFs on your device to send, this button allows you to search for them from the GIPHY or Tenor libraries. The button is located at the bottom right of the roll, next to the magnifying glass icon.

Step 7. Tap the text field to search for a GIF

Step 8. Type a keyword

As you type, associated GIFs will be searched for.
