WhatsApp's simple checkmark system makes it very easy to know if a message has been sent, received, and read. To check if you have read a message, you will need to open the conversation it is in under the "Chat" tab.
Steps
Step 1. Open WhatsApp
Step 2. Tap the "Chat" tab
It is located in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Tap a conversation
Step 4. Check the check marks of the last message
You can see them in the lower right corner of the message box. Check marks vary depending on sending, receiving and reading.
- A gray check mark: Your message has been sent successfully;
- Two gray check marks: the message was received by the recipient's mobile phone;
- Two blue check marks: the recipient has read the message on WhatsApp.
Step 5. Verify that the two blue check marks are present
This way, you will have confirmation that the message has been read.
