Steps
Part 1 of 2: Activate Location Services
Step 1. Open the "Settings" of the iPhone
On the Home screen, look for the icon that looks like a gear.
Step 2. Scroll down and click on Privacy
It is located in the third group of menu options.
Step 3. Click on Location Services
This option is found at the top of the menu titled "Privacy".
- If the "Location Services" button is disabled, you will not be able to see any places in the history. However, you can activate this feature to start tracking your movements.
- Location Services uses GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi networks, and available base stations to determine your approximate location.
Part 2 of 2: Viewing Your Travel History
Step 1. Scroll down and tap on System Services
This option is found at the bottom of the menu titled "Location Services".
Step 2. Scroll down and tap on Relevant Locations
It is located under the option Network and wireless.
Step 3. Activate the "Relevant Locations" button
The button will turn green. This feature lets your iPhone know which places you visit most often. iOS uses this data to offer you location-based services and information.
Step 4. Tap on a geographic area you have visited
These areas can be found in the section titled "History". A map will open along with the list of specific places you have visited in the selected area.
Step 5. Tap on a specific place you have visited nearby
The seats are listed under the map. This particular area will be enlarged on the map. The total number of visits will be displayed at the bottom along with the corresponding dates and times.
