Do you know how to clean and trim your nails properly?
It is essential that you know this. It might seem like a minor detail, while it is just as important as washing your hair and showering.
Steps
Step 1. Wash your hands (and wrists) with soap and warm water
You will prevent bacteria from accumulating on your hands and avoid worsening the degree of dirt under your nails.
Step 2. Use a clean nail brush to clean the area under the nails
Make sure it has been washed, otherwise you could transfer dirt and dead cells back to your nails (yuck!)
Step 3. Rinse your hands by removing all traces of soap and dry them using a soft, clean towel
Step 4. Trim your nails while they are soft
The more often you cut them (before they get too long), the stronger they will grow.
Step 5. Use a nail file (moving it in one direction only)
Step 6. Apply hand cream or lotion
If you don't have the time, don't worry, your body is usually able to provide your hands with the right natural hydration.
Step 7. Repeat this beauty routine every day
(But only cut your nails when necessary, otherwise they will be too short).
Advice
- Massage your nails daily with olive oil or any variety of oil that benefits you, for example almond, coconut, etc.
- After using your bike, climbing a mountain, or doing any outdoor activity that requires intense use of your hands, repeat this procedure.
- Apply a hardener to your nails to protect them and make them shiny.
- Do the same thing with your feet, they support your body weight all day and get tired too.
- If you play a musical instrument, make sure your fingernails are not too long to make your movements difficult.
- Take care of your hands… they are very important!
- If you have nails of different lengths, cut them all very short and let them grow back. If even so they should grow unevenly, shorten the longer ones by making them equal to the others.
Warnings
- Do not bite or tear the skin around the nails, this is a very bad habit.
- Don't bite your nails.
