A true Muslim has a very strong faith, a trait that gives him and those around him inner strength. By following these simple steps you will be well on your way to becoming a true Muslim loved by God.
Steps
Step 1. First you must accept the existence of Almighty Allah and you must also accept that his abilities are beyond our imagination
Everything is possible to him. Faith in Allah with assiduous knowledge of the Koran is a must. Next you have to accept that Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessing be upon him) is the latest in a long line of Prophets, starting with Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), and continues with many famous figures, such as Prophet Noah (may peace be upon him), Prophet Abraham (may peace be upon him), Prophet Moses (may peace be upon him) and others. Accept the Holy Quran as the last and true word of Allah.
Step 2. Pray sincerely
Affirm that Allah is close to you with His knowledge. Pray on time, without delay. Don't let daily activities interfere with much more important activities. Nothing is better than obeying Allah's requests. Even when you are working or studying, stop everything you are doing and go to the nearest mosque to pray. If someone asks you where you are going, answer that Allah is calling you to prayer.
Step 3. Pray at night
Pray when most of the people around you are asleep. The name of these prayers is Tahajjud. To address these prayers, be content with sleeping a little earlier, even if for a little while. Night is the best time to pray.
Step 4. Call on His name every time
Invoking the name of Allah, a practice also called Dikr, will make you a strong Muslim in faith, because you will remember what good Allah has done for you and for all humanity.
Step 5. Be grateful for everything you have, be it spiritual, mental or physical possessions
The more grateful you are, the more you understand how blessed you are. By doing this you are doing Allah's will, and this makes you stronger in faith, because you understand that Allah is omnipresent.
Step 6. Protect your chastity
You will surely know that adultery is an abomination, and for this reason it must be avoided. This rule applies to both men and women. Women shouldn't wear tight or low-cut dresses, and men should always look down to be modest.
Step 7. Keep your promises
If you acknowledge that you are unable to accomplish something, immediately notify the person you made the promise to. Fulfilling promises will make you a more trustworthy person.
Step 8. Respect the opinions of others
No opinion should be labeled as "bad" or "stupid". Treat opinions like a treasure, or try to make a treasure out of them. Without opinions, nothing can ever improve. Don't try to invalidate an idea just because you don't like it. Instead, try to improve it.
Step 9. Fast for the right reasons
DO NOT fast if you want to impress others or because you want to become popular by losing weight. Fast with the intention of pleasing Allah alone, and to be rewarded for your gesture. Fast, so you will be able to address your prayers to Allah correctly and effectively, and do so because you want to be responsible for your health. Fast to feel closer to those who do not have the privilege of being able to eat. Fast twice a week, preferably on Mondays and Thursdays. Fast during the month of Ramadan and on Arafah day, which falls on the 9th of Zulhijjah, the last month of the Islamic year. If you fast on the day of Arafah, Allah will grant you the forgiveness of sins for the year before and for the year after.
Step 10. Never lie
This concept must be highlighted. Allah hates the faithful who lie to others. Your integrity has a direct impact on your dignity. Lying is not tolerable, unless it serves to cover up someone else's shame, or to avoid anyone's anguish and suffering. If a friend stole money from their parents, for example, you shouldn't tell your other friends that they once stole money.
Step 11. Be good to your family, The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said "The best of you is the best to his family."
Therefore, be kind to them, always support them.
Step 12. Persevere in the good
Sacrifice some free time to visit the mosque if there is a lesson. Donate your properties to those who need it more than you. In other words, always do charity. Those who receive it will be grateful to you for the help you gave them in everyday life. Remember, the one who gives (when it comes to charity) is always better than the one who receives.
Step 13. Be happy with everything
Be kind and kindhearted, not only towards your parents, but towards your cousins, your friends and also towards the nature, plants and animals that surround you. Protect what surrounds you always. Never be violent towards animals. You can protect the environment by collecting recycled materials and using public transport.
Step 14. Be courteous to your parents
They work hard to support their family life, procuring food and other things. Your mother suffered a lot to bring you into the world. What did you do to thank her? They have brought you joy by covering you with gifts from time to time. Have you accomplished all this and thanked them for it? Do what they expect of you and you will be welcomed in the sight of Allah.
Step 15. Don't despair over the death of your loved ones
Allah wanted her with him because he loved them more than you loved them. Accept their death as a resting phase from the torments of life.
Step 16. Don't waste time on trivial things
Time is a blessing, make sure you always use it fruitfully.
Step 17. Read the Quran often
Meditate deeply on the meaning of each sentence ((Ayat)) of the Quran. Discuss with your friends and try to understand their conclusions. When you understand that you cannot understand the full meaning of each sentence, rely on the "Tafsir", or books containing the explanations of the Koran written by very spiritual people, or ask an educated person. This will keep your Iman strong. It will keep your soul pure. You will get a large thawab for each letter you speak. The Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) said "Meditating two hours on the meaning of the Koran is better than a hundred years of prayer."
Step 18. Seek knowledge, even if it is in the hands of your enemies
Remember, however, that it is always better to learn from authentic Muslim sources, as some sites and books attempt to misinform Islam.
Step 19. Always think correctly
Don't let evil ideas creep into your mind.
Step 20. Keep your body, your clothes, your home and everything you own clean
Use fragrances often and wear comfortable, modest, and welcoming clothing.
Step 21. Try as much as possible to always help the poor and orphans
Feed them, give them money, etc. These works bring great thawab (reward).
Step 22. Repent if you have committed a sin
Allah will forgive you, In Sha Allah. Then don't commit the same sin again. After all, Allah is the One you will meet in the afterlife, obey his laws and he will give you paradise.
Step 23. To be a good Muslim, you are obliged to believe what the Qur'an and Hadith say, as the Quran says “Obey Allah and obey his Messenger
“It is wrong not to believe the teachings of the Hadith, but one must make sure that they come from a trusted source, such as Sahih bukhari or the Muslim (two Hadith).
Step 24. Choose your sources carefully
Do not read much what is written on the internet, and make sure that what you read is a fact and not an opinion. Islam is between you and God, this relationship is sacred. Don't let anyone interfere with that. There will be people who will not agree with you, do not let them influence your point of view.
