Do you wish to own a Wiccan magic wand? Don't have enough money to buy one? Follow these instructions to create it yourself!
Steps
Step 1. Find a lush tree with many branches - traditionally oak, willow or ash wood is used
Step 2. Ask the tree for permission to use one of its branches to create a magic wand
Meditate a few moments to be able to perceive his response. If you feel guilt, it means the tree disagrees. In this case, look for another one. If you are pervaded by a sense of tranquility, it means that the tree has answered in the affirmative.
Step 3. Carefully cut a sturdy branch using a sharp knife called a boline, a tool used in Wiccan magical-religious rituals
Make sure you make a clean and precise cut.
Step 4. Thank the tree for its sacrifice
Add an offering like fruit, flour, or plain water.
Step 5. Sand and remove bark, leaves and bumps to achieve a smooth, even surface
Step 6. Use a sharp knife to carve a handle
You can create elaborate designs or a simple straight line.
Step 7. Carve runes into the wand, spelling out their properties as you do so
Step 8. Add a pointed crystal to the tip of the magic wand, gluing it with extra strong glue
Quartz is the ideal choice.
Step 9. Glue one of your hair onto the tip of the wand to infuse it with your power
Step 10. Now, the rest is optional… some Wiccans paint their own wands, add clay, wire or ribbon
Step 11. Bless it or infuse it with memories during meditation
Advice
- If you have pets, add some hair or feathers to the wand, infusing them with their energy.
- Wrap the wand in protective material to prevent it from being damaged.
- It is important to bless the magic wand after creating it. You can do this by sprinkling it with holy water in the light of the full moon. Then let it dry in the moonlight for a few hours.
- You can also use a stick already found on the ground.
