This article shows you how to delete a song part from a video on TikTok using an iPhone or iPad. To do this, you will need to perform the cut after recording the video.
Steps
Step 1. Open TikTok on your device
The icon looks like a white musical note on a black background. It is usually found on the main screen.
Step 2. Tap the button depicted by a camera
It is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Select the music for the video
Tap Add a sound and search for the song using the search bar at the top of the screen. Alternatively, browse through the various categories to find a song. Tap the song to preview, then tap the check mark next to the song title.
Step 4. Tap and hold the record button to shoot the video
TikTok will continue recording as long as you hold down the key. Lift your finger to stop recording once it's done.
Step 5. Tap the check mark located at the bottom right
Step 6. Tap the scissors icon
It is located at the top right (it is the third icon from the right). The waveform at the bottom of the screen represents the music in the video.
Step 7. Drag the waveform to the bottom of the screen to shorten the music
It is located under "Drag to cut sound". The length of the song will be updated and the new starting point of the song will be shown.
Step 8. Tap the check mark
It's a pink button that sits above the waveform.
Step 9. Edit the video and tap Next
You can use all the usual editing tools to edit the video.
Step 10. Add a description and tap Post
This way you will share the video with your followers on TikTok.
