This wikiHow teaches you how to share a link in a channel or message on Discord using a computer.
Steps
Step 1. Visit the website you want to share
Alternatively, if the link is in a message, open the message.
Step 2. Select the URL
For example, to share the wikiHow link, select the URL "https://www.wikihow.com"
Step 3. Press Ctrl + C (PC) or ⌘ Cmd + C (Mac).
The link will then be copied to the clipboard.
Step 4. Open Discord
If you have installed the application, you should find it in the Windows menu (PC) or in the "Applications" folder (Mac).
You can also use the web version of Discord, which is the same as the application but does not need to be downloaded. Visit https://www.discordapp.com/ and click on "Sign in"
Step 5. Open the chat in which you want to post the link
You can post it in a direct message or in a channel.
- To open a chat channel, select a server from the left side of the screen, then click on the channel you want to join.
- To open a direct message, click on the name of the person you want to send the link to.
Step 6. Click on the text box at the bottom of the message or channel with the right mouse button
A small pop-up menu will appear.
Step 7. Click Paste
The URL should then appear in the box.
Step 8. Press Enter
At this point the link should appear in the message or channel.
