This article explains how to activate Flash on Google Chrome using a PC or Mac. Chrome does not support Flash on Android, iPhone or iPad devices.
Adobe Flash support will cease in December 2020. It will no longer be possible to use it thereafter
Steps
Step 1. Open Chrome on your computer
If you use Windows, you will usually find it in the "Start" menu. If you are using a Mac, you should find it in the "Applications" folder.
Step 2. Click on menu⁝
It is located in the upper right corner of the browser.
Step 3. Click on Settings
This option is found almost at the bottom of the menu.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on Advanced
This link is at the bottom of the page. Additional settings will appear.
Step 5. Scroll down and click on Site Settings
This option is found in the section titled "Privacy and Security".
Step 6. Click on Flash
This option is more or less in the middle of the list.
Step 7. Activate the button
If it's already blue, Flash has been activated and you won't need to make any changes. Once the button is enabled, websites that try to load Flash content will prompt you to activate the Flash Player.
You can also manually add or block websites on this menu by clicking the "Add" button. Enter the site you want to allow or prevent from using Flash
Step 8. Open a website that uses Flash
You can visit any site that uses Flash, including multiple online game and video web pages. When the site tries to load Flash content, you will see a message asking if you want to activate it.
Step 9. Click Click to activate Adobe Flash Player, if you trust the site
A confirmation will appear.
Step 10. Click Allow
The Flash functionality of the site should then be performed.
- If you see an " Site Settings ". Click on the down arrow and then select "Allow". When you reload the page, the game, animation or other Flash content should appear.
- Chrome will reset Flash settings when you close the browser. This means that you will need to allow Flash to be activated again each time you return to the site in question.
