Long haircuts are very beautiful and easy to keep in order. If you want to grow your hair but define it at the same time, you can try making a cut at home. Read the guidelines below to learn how to cut long straight hair.
Steps
Part 1 of 5: Preparation
Step 1. Shampoo
Apply some conditioner and rinse well.
Step 2. Leave your hair very damp, but not dripping
Keep a bottle of water with the vaporizer handy to get your hair wet if it gets too dry.
Step 3. Comb your hair well
They should come down perfectly straight, flat on the skin, and without knots.
Part 2 of 5: Sections
Step 1. Hold some large hair beaks next to it
You will need about 6, or more if you have very thick hair.
Step 2. Cover your shoulders with a cape or towel
Make sure you do this in front of the mirror.
Step 3. Use a very fine bristle comb to make a line that divides the hair in half from the center of the forehead to the base of the skull
Comb the hair on both sides to separate the sections well.
Step 4. Divide the hair in half horizontally on the top of the head
You should be in line with the back of the ears.
Step 5. Roll up each of the 4 sections you created
Stop each with a beak.
Part 3 of 5: First Cuts
Step 1. Remove the jaws of the two front sections
Separate a strip of about 1.3cm from both halves, join them, create a new section and roll it up.
You don't have to stop it with your beak right away, because you will start cutting it right away
Step 2. Comb the hair in the front part by separating a section of 2.5x2.5cm exactly in the center
Step 3. Slide your hair between your index and middle fingers
Keep your fingers straight and keep your thumb together with your index finger to support it.
Step 4. Decide how many centimeters you want to cut
Generally, if you want to keep the lengths, choose between 2.5 and 7cm.
Step 5. Cut the section horizontally
If you want a clean cut, you simply need to make a cross stroke with the scissors every time you cut.
Cut your hair evenly in parallel with your fingers
Step 6. Follow the horizontal cut with small vertical cuts if you want a less clean result
Point the end of the scissors towards the hair, in the same direction as the tips. Make small cuts vertically while holding the strand with your fingers.
Step 7. Let your hair fall again
Step 8. Grab a new section of hair, immediately behind the first one
Add some hair from the first one to it, to keep as a guide for the length.
Sections should be circular or triangular. They must be wider at the bottom and narrower at the top
Step 9. Immediately comb your hair straight up
Stop them horizontally and point the cut down. Repeat throughout the first section of hair.
Part 4 of 5: New Sections
Step 1. Work on the other front side section
Always keep a pre-cut side tuft to use as a guide for length.
Step 2. Work all over the side, taking circular strands from time to time and moving backwards
Step 3. Stop the front sections when done
Leave a 2.5cm section forward to use as a guide for cutting the back as well.
Step 4. Continue combing up and cutting horizontally towards the back
Always cut damp hair and comb it up precisely and straight.
Part 5 of 5: Locks Around the Face
Step 1. Brush the front hair forward
You should include the entire front section, from ear to ear.
Step 2. Stop all the rest of the hair with the beaks
Step 3. Separate a central part
Step 4. Take a 2.5cm section from each side to the front and center of the hair line
Comb through this section and cut it slightly shorter.
You can measure the length on your cheekbones before combing. That will be your shortest tuft
Step 5. Part the hair again in the center
Step 6. Turn the scissors in front of you, with the tips down
Cut diagonally down on one of the front sections.
