Do you have a Wii but just can't accumulate Wii Points fast enough to buy yourself something? There may be ways to get some free extra points to start getting those gifts you've been eyeing for so long. Of course, getting everything for free should always be questioned, but if you're willing to accept the offer, we'll show you how.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Exchanging Stars for Wii Points (Europe and Japan)
Step 1. Link your Wii Shop Channel account with your Nintendo Club account
If you don't, you won't be able to enter the Nintendo Club site.
By registering on the Nintendo Club website, after completing the survey, you will automatically earn 100 points
Step 2. Look for a scratch card in your game packs
Sometimes, behind the manual included with the game, there is a small piece of paper, asking you to register (to receive stars later).
Step 3. Go online and register your products
It will only take a few minutes of your time and you will not be asked for any personal information.
Every time you register a product, you should receive 150 stars. All you need to do is sign up and complete a short survey on your buying habits and situations
Step 4. Go to the Wii Points Card Shop
You are now starting the conversion process. Prepare a pen and paper.
- At this point, you are offered the opportunity to exchange your stars for Wii Points. You need to choose the amount you want to convert (they are often "unavailable"). If you choose to proceed, you will receive a 12-digit code separated by 4 dashes.
- Write it down somewhere! Don't risk forgetting it.
Step 5. Go on your Wii to the Wii Shop channel
Already linked to your Nintendo Club account, right?
It's on your Home menu, that same screen where you create your Miis, use Netflix, etc
Step 6. Click "Redeem Wii Points Card"
You will use the 12-digit code you obtained earlier from the site instead of entering the code of a real card.
Step 7. Enter the 12-digit number in the blank field on the screen
Make sure it is correct and click "yes" to redeem your points.
Go back to the Wii Shop Channel menu and buy channels or games with your Wii Points
Method 2 of 2: With Codes Taken From Websites
Step 1. Do some research
There are many sites that claim to offer Wii Points for free if you give them your details, complete some surveys or accept their offers. Many of these (if not all) are not legitimate. Be cautious before doing anything - you certainly don't want your identity stolen.
Prizerebel and Rewards1 are two sites that claim they can do it. If the information you find on the Internet is just spam and confusing directions, ask friends or family if they have any experience with it
Step 2. Use an email address for junk mail
If you are bothered by the attempts made by these websites, make sure you have an additional email address just for spam. You are about to receive avalanches. Plus, don't give them any important information about you. Fill in the fields in a credible but false way.
You can get a new email address in seconds and from any webmail service provider
Step 3. Sign up
If you have found a site that seems to lead you to what you are looking for, complete the registration process with your fake personal details and emails. Once you're done, you can start exploring, looking for offers that interest you.
Complete the offers and questionnaires according to the descriptions and relax. It may take a few minutes. Once you have accumulated enough points, go to the available rewards and exchange your points for codes, which will then be sent to your spam email address
Advice
- At the moment, it is not possible to exchange stars for points in the United States.
- Some websites that offer codes do not work worldwide. Examine what's available for your area before you go to waste time.
- If you try to exchange stars for points, they may be "currently unavailable" in the value you are looking for. It may be convenient for you to keep trying or not.
Warnings
- There is no tried and true way to get something for free. If you log into these sites that make promises they may not have followed, be cautious. Technology can backfire on you.
- Many people will trick you into using their referral links - they will get free points if you use their links.
