Adobe Photoshop is a very popular graphic editor, published and developed by Adobe Systems since 1987. The safest source from which to download a copy is obviously the official Adobe website, but if you want to own the latest version of Photoshop without spending a penny this road will not be passable. In fact, only trial versions can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Download a trial version of Photoshop
Step 1. Go to the Adobe Photoshop site at the following address
Step 2. Press the 'Try' link for the 'Photoshop' product
Step 3. Press the 'Download trial version' button
This gives you a 30-day time frame to test the latest version of the product. There is an alternative to Photoshop, available on this page and called Photoshop Elements, which packs many of the features of the full program while being released at a discounted price.
Method 2 of 2: Download Photoshop CS2
Step 1. Create an Adobe ID by logging into the following address and pressing the 'You don't have an Abode ID' link
Step 2. Enter your name, your country of residence, your e-mail address and your login password
Accept the licensed terms of use, then press the 'Create' button and continue using your new profile.
Step 3. Download the Photoshop CS2 program using one of the following links:
- For Windows users, select the PhSp_CS2_Italian.exe link.
- For Mac users, select the PhSp_CS2_Italian.dmg.bin link.
Step 4. Select the folder where you want to save the installation file (for convenience choose the desktop) and press the 'Save' button
Step 5. Proceed with the installation by selecting the file you just downloaded
Select the folder on your computer that will host the installation. After accepting the terms of Adobe's agreement, enter your 'serial number' and your username.
- 'Serial number' for Windows users: '1045-1412-5685-1654-6343-1431'
- 'Serial number' for Mac OS X users: '1045-0410-5403-3188-5429-0639'
Step 6. Press the 'Finish' button
Advice
- If you are using Windows 7, you will need to activate compatibility mode in order to take advantage of all the features of Photoshop CS2.
- An alternative to Photoshop is GIMP. It is a completely free, open-source image editor that packs many of Photoshop's tools and features.
Warnings
- There are several third-party sites from which you can download Adobe Photoshop. Be careful though, as using these sources could result in the downloading of viruses and malware.
- If you are using a Mac be careful, because in order to use Photoshop CS2 you will need to install it on older machines that use OS X 10.4 or 10.6.
