While playing Minecraft in Multiplayer, you will have noticed that many players have a custom skin. Maybe you didn't even know you could change it! Follow this guide to learn how to do it.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Change Skin on a PC or Mac
Step 1. Remember that you must have purchased Minecraft to be able to change your skin
Illegal and modified copies do not support skin modifications, because you will have to upload your skin or change it from your Profile page.
Step 2. Create your skin with an editor and creation program
You will be able to find these programs on the internet. Many players use the Skincraft editor, because it is easy to use, straightforward and versatile. Type "Skincraft" into your search engine to try it out.
- When you use an editor like Skincraft, you will see that you can change your skin one part of the body at a time. You can use different tools to change your current skin piece by piece, or customize a completely new skin.
- When you're done creating or editing your skin, save it as a-p.webp" />
Step 3. Download a skin
Think of a skin you would like and look for a version that you can download. Many users use a character like Santa Claus or Minecraft monsters as skins. If you think the skin you want has already been created, you may be able to find it on Skindex, a site that contains thousands of skins. You will be able to search for skins and download them from there, and later upload them to your Profile page.
Step 4. Use a mod to create a cloak as an enhancement to your skin
While not normally possible to make cloaks, it is possible to make them with the help of mods. Search the Minecraft forums to find mods that allow the use of cloaks if you want to give your character a more spectacular look.
Step 5. Make sure you upload your skin to Minecraft
Log in and upload your skin. After loading it, the next time you join a server, you will have that skin on your character.
Method 2 of 2: Change Skin on an Xbox
Step 1. Choose from the 8 predefined skins available for Xbox players
In the "Change Skin" section of Help & Options, choose from Default, Tennis, Tuxedo, Athlete, Scottish, Prisoner, Cyclist and Steve Boxer.
Step 2. Download the skin packs to change the default options
Trial versions of the skin packs are available for free, although permanent packs must be purchased. Purchase your skins on the Xbox 360 Marketplace.
There are currently 7 skin packs available, with at least one more in development, including a Halloween pack and a Christmas pack
Advice
- There is another widely used skin editing tool called SkinEdit that offers a few more features and allows you to create skins without connecting to the internet.
- Skins can also resemble game textures, such as diamonds or stones. This will allow you to disguise yourself very easily.
- Some Minecraft players who play as a team use similar skins to recognize each other.
