If you want to generate profits on YouTube, you need to associate an AdSense account with it, which places advertisements in the form of text and images in the videos. You will earn every time these adverts are viewed or clicked. When you connect AdSense to YouTube, you can start generating profits by uploading interesting videos for viewers.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Activate Account Monetization
Step 1. Open YouTube on your computer
To indicate that you want to generate profits from your videos, you need to activate monetization on your YouTube account.
Step 2. Log in
Click on "Login" at the top right of the home page. A window will open asking you to enter your details. Enter your Google email address and password, then click "Next" to proceed.
Step 3. Open YouTube settings
Click on your profile picture at the top right. A small menu should open. Click on the gear button to access your account settings.
Step 4. Open the "Monetization"
Under the "Overview" menu, located on the settings page, click on "See other features" to view all the features available for your YouTube account. Scroll through them and search for "Monetization". Click on the "Activate" link. Your channel settings page dedicated to this sphere will open.
Step 5. Activate the monetization function by clicking on "Start" to allow your account to profit from the videos
Step 6. You agree to the terms
You will then be shown the YouTube Partner Program Terms. Accept by ticking the boxes, then click "Accept" at the bottom of the page. You will have to wait for the request to be approved before you can monetize. Once the feature is activated, you will receive a confirmation email. It should take less than 24 hours.
Part 2 of 2: Pair AdSense
Step 1. View your status
Once the request is approved, reopen the "Monetization" page. Here you will be able to see the status of your account.
Step 2. Associate an AdSense account
On the page you will find a section called "Guidelines and Information". Click on "How to make profits from your videos". A list of options will appear. Click on "Sign up for AdSense", then on the "Next" button at the bottom of the next page.
Step 3. Select a Google account
On the next page you will be asked which Google account you want to associate with AdSense, which may be the one you are currently using or another. Click on the button associated with your current account.
If you want to use another one, click on "Use a different or new Google account" and log in
Step 4. Describe your content
On the next page you will be asked what content you will show in your videos. Verify that your channel link and content language are correct, then click "Continue".
Step 5. Submit your application to AdSense
The next page will provide you with an application form. Fill it in by entering all the required information in the corresponding fields, such as country, time zone, account type, beneficiary name, address, city, telephone and email preferences. The details, such as the payee name and contact information, should be accurate and match that of the bank account where you will receive all payments. When you finish, click on "Submit Application".
