This article shows you how to exit Google's "Backup and Sync" program (formerly "Google Drive") on a computer running Windows or Mac.
Steps
Step 1. Click on the "Backup and Synchronization" icon with the right mouse button
It represents a speech bubble containing an arrow. If you use Windows, you will find it in the taskbar, usually located at the bottom right. If you're using a Mac, you'll find it in the menu bar, to the right.
Step 2. Click on ⁝
It is located at the top right.
Step 3. Click on Preferences…
Step 4. Click on Settings
It is located in the sidebar on the left.
Step 5. Click Unlink Account
It is located at the top right. A confirmation message will appear.
Step 6. Click Disconnect
This will sign out of Google Drive, so your files won't sync until you link your account again.
