This article explains how to check if a new updated version of the Firefox internet browser has been released and how to install it on your computer.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Manual Update
Step 1. Launch the Firefox app
It features a blue globe icon surrounded by an orange fox.
Step 2. Click on the ☰ button and choose the option Help from the list of items that will appear.
Step 3. Click on the About Firefox item
A dialog box will appear which will automatically check for new updates. If a new version of Firefox is available, it will be downloaded and installed on your computer.
Note:
this procedure does not work on Linux systems, if the Firefox installation was done through a package manager such as APT or YUM. In this case the update must be performed through the same package manager with which you performed the installation.

Any updates you downloaded will be installed and Firefox will restart when finished.
