This article explains how to see the total data used by applications and system services using an iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Step 1. Open the device's "Settings" application
Search and tap the icon
on the main screen to open the settings menu.
Step 2. Tap Mobile
This option is located next to a green and white antenna icon in the "Settings" menu.
Step 3. Scroll down and look for the "Current Period" box
It is located in the section titled "Cellular Data". This box indicates the total amount of data you have used since the last reset.
You can find the date of the last reset at the bottom of the menu
Step 4. Scroll down and check the data usage of a specific application
This section lists all applications on your device that consume internet. The total amount of data used by an application can be found under its name.
Step 5. Scroll down until you find the System Services entry
It is located at the bottom of the application list, under the section titled "Cellular Data". This box indicates the total data used by all online services to which the device connects.
Step 6. Tap System Services
This will open the list of all system services, such as personal hotspot, iTunes accounts and push notifications. You can see the data used by a single service next to its name.
