This guide will tell you how to close a running app on your Apple Watch.
Steps
Step 1. Unlock your Apple Watch
Press the Digital Crown (the knob on the right side of the Apple Watch), enter your password and press the Digital Crown again. A bunch of your app icons should appear.
- If this opens an app instead of the group of icons, press the Digital Crown once more.
- If you have your Apple Watch on your wrist, you won't need to enter the password.
- If your Apple Watch is already unlocked but with the screen off, simply raise your wrist to wake it up.
Step 2. Press the power button
It's the oval button on the right side of the Apple Watch, just below the Digital Crown. A list of apps that are currently running will open.
Step 3. Find the app you want to close
Scroll down through all the running apps until you find the one you want to close.
Step 4. Move the app to the left
Place your finger on the app tile, then swipe left. You should see a red "X" icon to the right of the box.
Step 5. Press Remove
It's the red “X” shaped button, to the right of the app box. In this way the app will be closed.
