Appcake is an application that allows users who have Jailbroken their iOS devices to download paid applications for free to try them out before purchasing them. IOS users who have used Cydia to Jailbreak their devices can install Appcake directly from the Cydia application.
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Cydia application from the Home of your iOS device
The application may take a few minutes to load, in case there are any updates available.
Step 2. Select "Sources" on the Cydia home, below
Step 3. Select the "Edit" button, top right
Step 4. Select "Add" on the top left
A dialog box will appear on the screen.
Step 5. Write “cydia
iphonecake.com "in the dialog box and select" Add Repo. "
Step 6. Select "Add Anyway" when asked if you really want to add this source
Your iOS device will take a few moments to download the sources needed to make Appcake work.
Step 7. Select "Return to Cydia" to return to the Sources screen after all sources for Appcake have been updated
Step 8. Select “cydia
iphonecake.com. "
Step 9. Select “Appcake” - if your device is iOS7
- If the device is iOS4, select "AppCake (for iOS4.2 & earlier).
- If your device is iOS6, please select "AppCake for iOS6".
Step 10. Select "Install", then "Confirm" located in the upper right corner of the session
Appcake will begin the installation process.
If you are using iOS 7, you will also be prompted to install a patch called "AppSync Patch iOS 7.x", which is necessary to make Appcake work efficiently on your device. This patch can be installed directly from the Sources screen
