Method 1 of 2: iOS
Step 1. Tap the Uber app
Make sure you have downloaded the latest version from the App Store.
Step 2. Tap the "Where to?"

- The starting address is automatically set based on your GPS position. If you need to change it, double-tap the box for your current position.
- Write the starting address.
- Tap the address. This will update the starting point.
Step 4. Tap the destination address
Step 5. Drag up the window describing the available ride types
The options offered depend on the availability of vehicles in the area you are in.
Step 6. Review the cheapest options
UberX cars allow you to carry up to 4 passengers. This is Uber's least expensive service and used cars are often sedans or similar types of vehicles.
Step 7. Swipe left to see larger vehicles
UberXL cars can carry up to 6 passengers, but the rides are more expensive than UberX. The driver will pick you up in an SUV or minivan.
Step 8. Swipe left to see premium options
UberSelect is a lower tier service than UberBlack that offers luxury cars. It allows to carry up to 4 passengers and the used cars are often BMW, Mercedes, Audi or similar models with leather interior.
Step 9. Swipe left to see vehicles with special features
- UberPool allows you to share the journey and divide the costs of the journey with another passenger bound for the same destination.
- UberBlack it is the most expensive service and offers luxury cars. A professional driver will pick you up and used vehicles are usually black SUVs or luxury sedans.
Step 10. Tap Done after choosing your preferred service
Step 11. Tap Request Uber
Step 12. Tap Confirm Uber
Your request will then be sent. Once approved, the driver's details will be communicated to you.
Step 13. Wait for the driver
You will receive a message when the driver is approximately 1 minute away.

Step 1. Tap the Uber app

UberXL cars carry up to 6 passengers and are more expensive than UberX. The driver will pick you up in an SUV or minivan.
Step 5. Swipe right to see premium options
UberSelect is a service that offers luxury cars, but it falls short of UberBlack. UberSelect cars allow you to carry up to 4 passengers. The vehicles used are BMW, Mercedes, Audi or similar cars with leather interior.
