Driving an ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) vehicle is an excellent hobby and a fun way to get together with friends and family. It is fun to drive these vehicles, both for sports and as a hobby.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Prepare to Drive
Step 1. Choose an ATV vehicle
Some brands include Polaris, Yamaha and Honda.
Step 2. Choose the size
These vehicles have different sizes which varies according to the engine displacement. 200cc is a good displacement to start with.
Step 3. Buy safety equipment
Helmet, eye protection, boots and gloves. Even if they cost a little, you will be happy wearing them if you fall to the ground.

You will learn how to drive this type of vehicle safely.
Method 2 of 3: First Guide
Step 1. Start the ATV vehicle
These vehicles are started by pulling a rope or turning the key and pressing the start button.
Step 2. Disarm the parking brake
This is usually done by engaging a gear or releasing the rear brakes.
Step 3. Drive the ATV
An ATV with automatic transmission is recommended. To start it, just move a lever forward.
Step 4. Slowly press the accelerator
Do this by pushing a lever with your thumb or by simply twisting the grip of your right hand.
Step 5. Proceed slowly on a flat surface
Do not exceed 30 Km / h.
Step 6. Accelerate
When you feel confident, drive faster even off the road.
Method 3 of 3: Finish the Race
Step 1. Press the brakes to slow down
Do this by pressing the brake lever or pedal.
Step 2. When you stop, put the ATV in neutral
You will avoid accidentally accelerating.
Step 3. Get off the ATV
Do this by lifting one leg and sliding it over the seat, getting off.
Step 4. Remove the keys from the ignition
Remove the key to prevent theft.
Step 5. Apply the parking brake
It is explained in detail in the manual.
Advice
- You will not need to prepare the mixture for most ATV vehicles.
- If you have bought a new ATV vehicle, the first 10 hours will need to be used for break-in.
- Take a course to get rid of your fears, worries and to drive safely.
- Don't buy an ATV vehicle under € 1000, it won't last that long.
- ATV vehicles are very durable so don't worry about damaging it.
