This article shows you how to view the contents of the temporary memory area known as the "Clipboard" of an Android device. You can do this in two ways: using an app that allows you to paste what is stored in the "system clipboard" or by installing a third-party program, downloadable from the Play Store, which is able to keep track of everything that is copied.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use the Paste Function
Step 1. Launch the default application of the device for sending SMS
This is the application that allows you to compose a text message to be sent to one of the contacts stored in the device's address book. It is normally called Messages, but depending on the manufacturer and model of the device it may have a different name.
If you are using a tablet, you can also launch an app that allows you to create reminders, send messages or write text in any form. If there is no such application on your device, you can open your email client and use the text field dedicated to composing the email. Alternatively, you can install Google Drive and use it to create a new text document
Step 2. Start composing a new message
Tap the app button to create a new text message. It is usually characterized by an icon in the shape of " +"or pencil.
Alternatively, you can use one of the many instant messaging applications, such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp or Google Hangouts
Step 3. Keep your finger pressed on the text field for composing the message
This is the field where you normally enter the text you want to send to the chosen person. A small context menu will appear.
Using some Android devices, before you can access the text entry field, you will need to select the recipient of the message and press the button Come on.
Step 4. Choose the Paste option
If there is data in the system clipboard, the "Paste" function will be present in the menu that appears. By selecting the latter, the data present in the "System clipboard" will be pasted into the text field of the application.
Step 5. Delete the message
Now that you have discovered what the system clipboard contains, you can safely delete the newly created text message. This way you won't risk sending someone unnecessary information.
Method 2 of 2: Use a Clipboard Manager
Step 1. Launch the Google Play Store app
It features a multicolored triangular icon oriented to the right. It is located within the "Applications" panel.
In order to access the Play Store, the device must be connected to the internet
Step 2. Find an app that can access and manage the contents of the Android "System Clipboard"
Applications of this type are called "Clipboard manager" and allow you to keep track of all the contents that are temporarily stored in the clipboard, creating a copy that will always be available for use. You can consult the category Productivity from the Play Store or you can use the search bar at the top of the screen to search for a free or paid app that can access the Android clipboard.
Step 3. Launch the app you installed
Locate its icon in the "Applications" panel and select it to open the program.
Step 4. Check the activity history of the "clipboard manager" you have chosen to use
Inside the application you will see the complete list of everything that is currently stored in the "System Clipboard".
