It is not easy to rely only on one's own strength to solve problems, in fact many people prefer to rely on their loved ones or blame others for their misfortunes.
Steps
Step 1. Identify the problem underlying your emotional breakdown, sadness, or anger
Probably the events of life bring you down and people like your parents have noticed and are saddened by your sadness. You could talk to them personally or write a letter explaining why you are sad so that they understand you. This task may demoralize you, but as silly as it sounds, not everyone is capable of reading minds. They notice what transpires from your behavior, but they may not understand the reasons for your state of mind.
Step 2. You must be proud of yourself when you are able to communicate with someone
It doesn't matter if it is a serious or irrelevant problem, by sharing it with someone else you will have decided to rely on your own strength. It is essential to open up, because you prevent emotions from taking over everyday life.
Step 3. Set a goal
It could be as simple as getting up an hour earlier in the morning, helping someone or anything else you want to do.
Step 4. Look in the mirror and tell yourself what you like about yourself
It could be your personality or your physical appearance. Take the time to praise yourself and acknowledge your uniqueness.
Step 5. Confront the person who has let you down or the one you hold responsible for your problems, civilly and after much thought
Understand that there are two sides of the same coin and that you both may feel the same way. These are the situations where you have to rely on yourself and be strong to get over your problems. Life goes by so fast, that you may regret not having clarified the matter with the other person.
Step 6. Believe in yourself
Your life belongs to you and you are free to live it however you want. It can be difficult, but don't make it even more complicated. Go out and enjoy it. Convince yourself that you are capable of doing things that you thought were impossible. You may not be able to do everything, but trying something new, like joining an association, learning a new language, or trying to make (or cook) something, is a big step forward. Don't live your life in such a way that you don't live it at all. Remember this every day.
Step 7. Try to be grateful for what you have, because there are those who are worse off than you
It might be difficult, but try to think of people who haven't eaten for many days or people who have lost everything.
