Do you want a little dog? A video game? A mobile phone? Or do you want to go to the cinema? Well, here are some ways to show that you are responsible!
Steps
Step 1. Talk to your parents about what you want
If you work hard and then say, "Could I have / go _?", They will feel used and understand that what you did was for your purpose. First let them know you want something, then offer something in return.
Step 2. Do chores around the house, show them that you don't mind working for what you want
Try to do something you don't usually do, such as washing the dishes, cleaning the pet cage or litter box, walking the dog, washing dirty laundry, hanging out, mopping, washing windows, cleaning the bathroom, disinfecting the work surface, etc.
Step 3. Try to study more than you are assigned and / or study hard, and get good grades
This will show them that you can do your school duties as well as housework.
Step 4. Try to avoid words that would make you sound immature
Choose strong and cultured words, preferring, for example, "inaccurate" to "wrong".
Step 5. Avoid the things they don't like
Stay away from bad company. Don't watch TV shows that your parents hate, think vulgar, or don't approve of. This will show that you are interested in their opinion and that you are simply not doing it your own way.
Step 6. Change your way to compliment them or do extra chores
Little things like these will show them that you are a truly responsible person.
Step 7. Don't try to impress them by exaggerating and using overly sophisticated words, they may think it's a hoax, and this won't make you sound responsible
Step 8. Show that you can take care of yourself
If your parents come home exhausted, don't bother them by insisting that they make you dinner. Prepare it for them! (there is a time and a space for everything… if they have just woken up, don't stress them out to tell them the new projects your friends have).
Step 9. Try to be on time
If the time you need to return is 11am, go home at 10.30am. If school starts at 8, get up at 6.30 instead of 7.30. You won't have to beg your parents to solve a problem for you at the last minute. Inform them in advance.
Step 10. Do your daily duties without laziness
This will show your parents that you know how to take care of what you want.
Step 11. If you want a cell phone, show them that you are often out of the house and need to be in touch with them
Step 12. Tell your parents that you think you are mature and responsible enough to be able to go wherever you want and have what interests you
Give them examples, but not too many (the important things, of course), so as not to give the impression of bragging.
Advice
- Do things without being told. Mow the grass, wash the dishes, clean your room, wash the laundry, take out the trash, and pay attention to the details, without your parents having to tell you.
- Don't keep asking … insisting is a bad choice.
- Do not give the impression that it is a sviolinata. Keep doing the same thing even after you get what you want, or your parents will realize you were just being a licker for a purpose.
- If your parents tell you, “I'm going down to the garage to wash the car”, you respond by saying, “No, don't worry, I'll do it”. Offering to do something for them is good, it shows that you love them.
- Tidy up or clean your room every day. Get rid of stuffed animals and things you've owned since you were 3 and show that you've grown up and need space for other things, like books to study.
- Explain to your parents that you will pay for what you want, they will be amazed by your maturity.
Warnings
- Don't complain because your parents think you are not responsible. It is much more constructive to show them that you ARE. Remember, facts are worth more than words!
- Ask your parents for permission before selling anything.
- Whining doesn't help.
- Don't turn it all into a twist. Your parents would notice.
- If you work for something, like a puppy, it shows that you can take care of it. If you already have a pet in your home, take special care of them so that they think you can take care of another. If you have a dog and a fish and you want a bird, take care of your dog and play with it, and interact with your fish as much as you can.
