Walking in a feminine way requires a lot of composure and self-confidence. You will have to learn to use your center of gravity to gracefully move your hips and thighs, often keeping your balance on a nice pair of high heels at the same time. If you want to show everyone your feminine side, first start by assuming a correct posture, and then work on improving your gait. Soon you will be able to walk like a real lady without thinking twice!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Assume Correct Posture
Step 1. Stand straight, keeping your hips level with the inner shoulder line
The feet must be about 12 cm apart. Keep your toes straight, not pointing outwards or inwards.
Step 2. Don't keep your knees too stiff
Let them relax slightly, as if you are about to start walking.
Step 3. Push your hips slightly backwards
Tighten the muscles of the lower abdomen. This will make the waist look slimmer and it will be easier to walk straight.
Step 4. Position your chin so that it is parallel to the ground
Keep your arms at your sides.
Step 5. Try to move the shoulder blades back a couple of centimeters
Remove your shoulders from your ears.
Step 6. Pretend you are trying to touch the ceiling with the tip of the brim
Doing so should increase your height by at least a couple of centimeters, as you will lengthen your spine and activate your torso muscles.
Step 7. Assume this position every time you are standing
To ensure that you are in a balanced position, practice maintaining the correct posture while keeping a book balanced on your head.
Method 2 of 2: Walking the Feminine Way
Step 1. Do some stretching exercises for your hips to prepare them to move as you walk
Do squats for thirty seconds, then do the butterfly or pigeon yoga position for one minute. To perform the butterfly pose, you will need to sit on the ground and bring the soles of your feet together, spreading your legs out like a fan.
The pigeon position is also great for widening the hips. Extend one leg forward, rotating your shin 90 degrees. Extend the other leg behind you. Shift your weight to your hips to stay balanced and hold the position for at least a minute before switching sides
Step 2. Try wearing heels
Maintain your posture. Keep in mind that this pose will make your gait look more feminine, but it will accentuate the curvature of your back and tend to lock your knees, which could be bad for your back in the long run.
Step 3. Imagine a straight line in front of you
Lift the thigh of your dominant leg slightly and place your foot in front of you, from heel to toe. The stride should be roughly the length of your foot.
Step 4. Repeat the steps and start walking
Let your hips swing slightly in the direction of the moving foot. Women have a lower center of gravity than men and the hips will tend to swing naturally, especially when wearing heels.
Step 5. Keep your shoulders straight and backwards
Do not walk with your head, chin, shoulders or chest forward. The legs will have to guide, taking advantage of their strength, the movement of the hips and the lowered center of gravity.
Step 6. Repeat the process, until you get into the rhythm and make the movement fluid
Remember that to walk feminine you will need to sway your hips slightly, but not your shoulders. Don't take too long steps, or your gait will seem unnatural.
Step 7. Practice walking with a book on your head to improve your composure and posture
This trick will help you make your gait automatic and spontaneous.
