No one finds it easy to face the first day of school. However, by preparing yourself properly, you will be calm and confident when that time comes!
Steps
Step 1. The night before, pack all your stuff and put your backpack near the front door
This will help you save time before you leave the house. So you will have plenty of time to get ready and have breakfast.
Step 2. Go to bed first
Try to avoid going to school dead tired. Otherwise, you wouldn't make a good first impression.
Step 3. Wake up early
Try to have a nutritious breakfast, and then, leave the house. It is better to arrive early rather than late. Before starting the lessons, they will usually have you meet in the main classroom to give you the necessary information.
Step 4. Once you have arrived at the school, check the lesson times and find out in which classroom the first class will be held
If there are others who are looking for that same classroom, you might want to try joining them.
Step 5. If possible, try to meet up with your friends
Ask them what hours they have and who their teachers are.
Step 6. If you are new to the school, talk to people and be nice to everyone
It's a great way to make new friends!
Advice
- On your first day, keep your head up and smile! Try to look confident, even if you don't feel that way.
- Don't worry about what others think of you. Always remain yourself and don't change for anyone. If you feel judged by some people, lift your heels and don't give it weight. Try to adopt this type of mindset and your self-confidence and self-esteem will improve dramatically.
- Having a lot of friends helps a lot. Be social and try to meet new people. Find people who have similar interests to you so it will be easier to break the ice.
- Don't flirt with anyone during the first few days of school. You don't know if the person in question might like it or not, and you'll avoid getting a bad name in high school.
- First impressions matter! Your behavior will determine the opinion that others will have of you until they get to know you better.
- On your first day, try to arrive earlier and take a "tour" of the school, so you will familiarize yourself with the environment and know where the classrooms are located. This could also be a good opportunity to make new friends as well.
Warnings
- If you don't have anything nice to say, you better keep your mouth shut.
- Don't get in trouble. The last thing you need is to be grounded.
