Do you really like your bedroom or is there something you would like to improve? Do you want to make it look like the one of your dreams? Well, this article will help you make the perfect bedroom!
Steps
Step 1. Make it comfortable
Your room is a place where you can be alone and spend time with yourself. You need to feel comfortable in your room, so buy blankets, rugs, curtains and pillows in your favorite colors. Let your imagination run wild and fill the room with different colors. It's up to you to decide! If you want to save money, make your own curtains and cushions. Elements like fluffy pillows make the atmosphere cozier. Make sure you get your parents' permission first!
Step 2. Paint the walls or cover them with wallpaper (if you want, and if you are able, even both)
Paint and wallpaper can really help you get the perfect bedroom. If you are allowed to paint your room, choose a color that you like and that reflects your personality. If you can't even put on wallpaper, hang some textiles on the walls, or even just posters and photos that you like. You could also buy some removable wall stickers to make the walls more eye-catching. These stickers are easy to remove, and you can move them around as you like.
Step 3. Create space for your stuff
You absolutely need it! Get some large, quirky bins or arrange your stuff on the shelves. Either way it will be great. Also, you will need a closet to store your clothes. Don't keep the closet untidy, always keep it tidy and clean. Make sure you have space for shoes, hats, handbags and clothes. You can put the sweatshirts in the drawers so as not to waste them, or in corner cabinets, especially if the room is not too big.
Step 4. Get some chairs
When your friends come to visit, you probably don't want them to sit on the floor! Buy a chair or two for you and your friends. Consider buying an ottoman; it is extremely comfortable and fits well in a room. If you can't buy it, ask someone to make one for you. Or you could buy a moon chair. Chairs of this type are also particularly comfortable and give the room a modern look.
Step 5. Carve out a study area
You are a teenager, so the load of homework becomes more and more consistent and you have some tests to face. Rather than studying in the kitchen, create a space in your bedroom. Find a comfortable desk and chair to do your homework.
Step 6. Don't forget the lights
Find good lighting for your bedroom. There must be a lamp on the desk so that you have a good light for when you study, but also recover others for the rest of the environment. You can buy lanterns, fairy lights, or lamps of different shapes, sizes and colors to add that extra touch to your room.
Step 7. Personalize your room
The room certainly looks better by now, but it probably looks more like a model room on display than your room. The simplest solution to this problem is… customize it! Buy a bulletin board where you can post concert tickets, or awards, photos, certificates, and so on. Also buy some frames and put some pictures of yourself, or of friends, relatives, of your boyfriend, etc. in them. Fill the room with objects that describe your personality! It will make your room more welcoming and special.
