Part 2 of 4: Cut them into sticks
Step 1. Roll the potato on an even surface to locate the flatter side of the tuber
Place the potato horizontally on the cutting board and turn it gently with your hand until you find its flattest and most stable side. This way you can cut it much easier and safer.
Can't find it? Remove a small piece from one of the sides to create it ad hoc. Cutting a small piece of about 3 mm will be more than enough
Step 2. Cut the potato lengthwise into slices of about 1.5cm
Starting on one of the long sides, slice the potato from end to end into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Carry out the procedure in a precise and orderly manner until it is completed.
Try to make slices of similar size to make the sticks more or less the same
Step 3. Stack 2 slices
Place one slice in front of you, then place another one on top of them to match. Holding them steady with your non-dominant hand, cut them lengthwise until you get sticks with a thickness of about 1.5 cm.

Repeat the same procedure as in the previous step, i.e. stack 2 slices and cut them lengthwise until you get sticks with a thickness of about 1.5 cm. Proceed until you have finished all the potatoes.
Part 3 of 4: Cut them into wedges
Step 1. Cut each potato in half
Wash and peel the potatoes (if desired), place one on a flat surface and hold it steady with your non-dominant hand. If it has a flat side, place it on the surface for greater stability when cutting. Make a cross cut in the middle of the potato.
Step 2. Cut each piece in half lengthwise
Cut the pieces you made in the previous step in half again, but this time lengthwise. Make sure you hold them steady with your non-dominant hand during the procedure. Set them aside as you cut them.
Step 3. Cut the pieces in half once again lengthwise
Pick up the pieces you set aside and cut them in half once more. Make sure you make a longitudinal cut to get long wedges rather than short, squat. Each wedge should be about 2cm thick.

Part 4 of 4: Bake Fried Sweet Potatoes in the Oven
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C
Let it warm up well while you finish making the potatoes.
Step 2. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil and spray them with cooking spray
Tear off 2 pieces of tinfoil from the roll to fit the size of the baking sheets and use them to line them. Spray some non-stick cooking spray evenly on the surface of each pan.

Step 3. Mix the sweet potatoes with the olive oil and salt
Put them in a large bowl and pour in a drizzle of oil. Season with salt and mix everything to evenly coat the sticks with oil and salt.
Step 4. Spread the sticks on the baking sheets creating a single layer
Divide the potatoes in half and spread them evenly across the baking sheets in a single layer. Separate the sticks or wedges to prevent them touching each other and becoming mushy.
Step 5. Season the potatoes with spices (if desired)
Evenly sprinkle your favorite toppings over the sweet potatoes. Try using a pinch of black pepper and ½ teaspoon of paprika if you want to season them easily.
- Try adding 2 tablespoons of Parmesan and 1 tablespoon of rosemary;
- To make a Cajun-style blend, use a pinch of cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon of oregano, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of dried thyme;
