The brioche bread is a soft and sweet bread of French origin. Since it can be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is a versatile bread that lends itself to any meal. If you don't feel like making it at home, look for a loaf of bread or brioche rolls at the bakery.
Ingrediants
French Toast with Pan Brioche
- 1 loaf of brioche bread
- 3 eggs
- 60 ml of heavy cream or cream
- 1 and a half tablespoons of sugar
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Eat the Pan Brioche for Breakfast
Step 1. Eat some slices of brioche in the morning
Take a loaf of brioche bread and slice it with a sharp bread knife. Try to get slices about 1.5-3cm thick. Place them on a plate and serve them with the rest of the breakfast.
If you eat breakfast alone, only cut the slices you intend to eat. This way, you can easily save the rest of the loaf for another meal
Step 2. Spread some butter or jam on the brioche slices
When making breakfast, bring butter, an open jar of jam, and 2 butter knives to spread on the table. Take a slice of brioche bread, then spread the butter and jam on it with the help of knives.
The brioche bread can be accompanied with any type of jam, such as that of raspberries, grapes and blueberries
Step 3. Toast the brioche slices to make them crunchy and intensify their flavor
If you don't have a toaster, you can toast them directly on the stove. Grease a large skillet with half a teaspoon of butter, then toast the brioche over medium heat until golden and crisp.
Step 4. Make French Toast with the leftover brioche bread
Just mix 3 eggs, 60 ml of heavy cream or cream, 1 and a half tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and ginger in a large bowl. Soak the brioche slices in the mixture and cook them in a large skillet over medium heat for 4 minutes or until golden brown.
Once the French Toasts are cooked, serve them with toppings such as butter, jam, fresh fruit, and honey
Step 5. Try the brioche sandwiches for breakfast for a bit of a change
You can eat them on their own or cut them in half with a knife and spread butter and jam on them. You can also cut and toast them before serving.
Method 2 of 3: Make a Sandwich with the Pan Brioche
Step 1. Make a brioche sandwich using your favorite cold cuts and cheeses
Fill 2 slices of brioche bread with some slices of salami and cheese. To flavor the sandwich, also use mustard or mayonnaise.
Step 2. Make a peanut butter and jam sandwich
Spread some jam or marmalade on one slice of brioche bread and some peanut butter on the other slice to make a delicious snack.
Try toasting the brioche slices before spreading the jam and peanut butter on them in case you want to make a crunchy bun
Step 3. Make a sandwich filled with grilled cheese
Take 2 slices of brioche bread and spread butter on both. Fill them with your favorite cheese and cook the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat. Let it cook until the bread is golden and crunchy, while the cheese should become stringy.
Step 4. Try making a burger with a brioche bun
To start, cut the sandwich in half using a sharp bread knife, then toast it on a grill or over the fire. Fill it with a burger and your favorite toppings, keeping the cut parts of the bun facing inward.
Method 3 of 3: Storing the leftover Pan Brioche
Step 1. Store leftover brioche buns at room temperature for 3 to 4 days
To store it, place it in an airtight plastic bag and press it with your hands to remove excess air. Close the bag and write the date so you don't forget it. Store it in a cool, dry place.
Step 2. If you want it to last longer, put it in the freezer
Wrap it carefully, using cling film until it is completely covered, then place it in an airtight freezer bag. Squeeze the excess air with your hands and close the bag. Label it with the date so you don't forget it. By keeping it in the freezer, it should keep fresh for up to 2 months.
If you plan to eat it, take it out of the freezer and let it defrost for at least 4 hours
Step 3. Avoid keeping it in the fridge
If you store it in the fridge instead of at room temperature or in the freezer, it will become stale ahead of time. If you plan to eat it within 3 to 4 days, store it at room temperature. If you want to keep it longer, put it in the freezer.
