This article tells you how to quote a WhatsApp message in a conversation. Unfortunately, it is only possible to cite messages extracted from the same original conversation: you cannot cite one from another.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On the iPhone
Step 1. Open WhatsApp
The application icon is green with a white handset inside.
If you haven't installed WhatsApp yet, do so before continuing
Step 2. Tap the Chat tab, located at the bottom of the screen
If WhatsApp opens a conversation, tap on the "Back" button at the top left to see the chat page
Step 3. Tap a conversation in which a user has posted a comment you want to quote
Step 4. Tap and hold the message you want to quote
At this point, a series of options will appear above it.
Step 5. Tap Reply
A text field will open in which you can type your answer.
Step 6. Type your answer
Once finished, you can tap the "Send" arrow, located to the right of the text field, to send both the quote and the reply to the recipient.
Method 2 of 2: On Android
Step 1. Open WhatsApp

Step 2. Tap the Chat tab, located at the top of the screen
If WhatsApp opens a conversation, tap the "Back" button at the top left to see the chat page
Step 3. Tap a conversation in which a user has posted a comment you want to quote
Step 4. Tap and hold the message you want to quote
At this point, a series of options will appear at the top of the screen.
Step 5. Tap the arrow pointing down
It is located at the top of the screen and allows you to reply.
Step 6. Type your answer
Once done, tap the "Send" arrow, located to the right of the text field, to send both the quote and your reply to the recipient.
