This article explains how to follow a user's videos on TikTok using an iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Explore Videos and Categories
Step 1. Open TikTok on your device
The icon looks like a white musical note on a black background. It is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Tap the magnifying glass
It is the second icon from the left at the bottom of the screen. A page will open that will allow you to search for users or browse by category.
Step 3. Tap a category or hashtag
Videos tagged with the selected category or hashtag will be displayed.
You can also search for videos or users using the search bar at the top of the screen
Step 4. Tap a video
The profile photo of the user who shared the video will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Locate the user's profile photo at the top of the icons on the right side of the screen
Tap the pink and white "+" sign below the image.
Step 6. Look at the screen:
the "+" sign will turn into a check mark and disappear. At this point you will have started following the user in question.
To confirm that you are following him, tap on his profile photo or username to go to his personal page. If you see the "Message" button instead of "Follow", then you have started following it
Method 2 of 4: Look for a Specific Username
Step 1. Open TikTok on your device

Step 3. Search for a user using the search bar at the top of the screen
This method is useful for those with a specific user in mind. Enter your username and tap Search on the keyboard.
Step 4. Tap Follow next to the correct user
It's a big red button that sits below his profile photo. If it turns white and says "Followed", then you have started following the user in question.
You can confirm the operation by tapping on his profile photo or username to access his personal page. If a white button with "Message" appears instead of the red "Follow" button, then you have started following it
Method 3 of 4: Follow the Contacts Saved on the Device
Step 1. Open TikTok on your device

Step 2. Tap the human silhouette icon to open your profile
It is located in the lower right corner.
Step 3. Tap the human silhouette icon flanked by the "+" sign
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen (next to the search bar). A page titled "Find Friends" will open.
Step 4. Tap Find Contacts to review your device's contacts
It is the first option at the top of the screen. The list of contacts using TikTok will appear.
If you are asked to authorize TikTok to access your contacts, tap "Ok"
Step 5. Tap the Follow button next to all users you want to add
This way you will start following them.
Method 4 of 4: Follow Facebook Friends
Step 1. Open TikTok on your device
The icon looks like a white musical note on a black background. It is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Tap the human silhouette icon to open your profile
It is located in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Tap the human silhouette icon flanked by the "+" sign
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen (next to the search bar). A page titled "Find Friends" will open.
Step 4. Tap Find Facebook Friends
It is the second option available. You will be prompted to log into Facebook.
Step 5. Tap Continue
The Facebook login page will open.
Step 6. Log into your account
If you are already logged in, the screen will automatically appear allowing you to confirm your login.
Step 7. Tap Continue
The list of your Facebook friends who have an account on TikTok will appear.
Step 8. Tap the Follow button next to the users you want to add
At this point you will start following them.
