How to Change Interests on Facebook: 10 Steps

Adding interests to your Facebook profile allows your friends and other users of this social network to see the types of hobbies and activities you enjoy. Sometimes, the interests you include in your profile allow you to make new friends and connect with other Facebook users who like the same things. The interests on your Facebook profile can be edited and managed through the menu of your user profile. They can include your preferences regarding music, books, sports and more. Steps

Method 1 of 2: Access your Interests on Facebook

Step 1. Click on one of the Facebook links provided in the Sources section of this article

Step 2. Click on the "Back to Facebook" link located in the upper right corner of the landing page

Step 3. Log into Facebook with your email address and password

You will be taken back to your main Facebook page.

Step 4. Click on your name in the upper right corner

This action will give you access to your profile page.

Step 5. Click on the "Update Info" button to manage your Facebook profile

Step 6. Click on the "Information" drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the profile landing page

Step 7. Select "Like" from the list of options provided by the drop-down menu

You will be taken to a page showing the movies, music and activities you enjoy, and a full list of all your interests.

Method 2 of 2: Remove Interest from Facebook

Step 1. Click directly on the link or image of any interest you want to remove from your "Favorites"

You will be taken back to the Facebook page for that particular interest.

Step 2. Click on the "Like" button after arriving at the page of the interest you want to remove

A drop-down menu will appear showing additional options.

Step 3. Select "I don't like anymore" from the drop-down menu to remove that particular favorite from your Facebook profile

Moving forward, that interest will no longer appear in your Facebook profile.

Add Interest on Facebook =

1. Click on "More" and then select "Like" in the upper right corner of your Facebook profile page. An "Edit" button will appear.

   

2. Click on the "Add 'Like'" button. The page will refresh and a search box will appear.

   

3. Type your interest in the search box (for example, wikiHow or Television) and Facebook will show you options matching your search.

   

4. Select your interest when it appears in the drop-down menu below the suggestion box.

   

5. The link or image for that particular interest will now appear in the list of things you like and you will be able to see related posts.
